Tanya,

You should ask a MOD to change your forum name to "SunShine". Thanks for your support.

I'm trying to decide what to make next. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Best.

Here is something a little different. It's a shrub or tree line segment. The segment floor has a shadow on it in one direction, so you can't create an "L" shape with it, but it works well in a straight line. The image has depth and works well, even standing nearly up against the wall. The floor (grass) image is made from the WW2 grass floor for continuity. Of course it is repetitive, so you don't want to use too much of it.

Image attached.

What version are you using? Did you copy the files folder to your FPS Creator folder?

I just downloaded what I posted and checked it out.

Here is the link to kmkm's building packs. There are two downloads in that thread but they are difficult to find because of the off topic posts.

http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&b=24&t=120332&p=0

Edit:

Sorry for the double post. As you can see I do know how to use the edit button.

Addendum:

I got the white box, too. The fps file is pointing to a different texture path than where it is stored. It is pointing to:

texture0 = segments\DTIRooms\treelineFlr.png

We need to replace DTIRooms with 'treeline' and here is an opportunity to plug my program FPI EdiPad.

I started FPI EditPad and opened up the FPS file in question. I then used the replace option and quickly replaced DTIRooms with treeline. Voila it now works.

Of course if you put treeline as a subfolder to another folder within segments (such as the user folder) you need to add that folder as well.

Hey have u thought about turning this into an entity that characters can run through so it appears they are emerging out of the tree line or making another a 2 story segment so it looks like there are more trees behind it.

Use it for whatever you like, Punk.

Oh my! It appears that killer has chewed through his rope and run off again. Perhaps the smell of freshly ground children will bring him home again. Image attached.

Exactly what I did, and got white boxes. This is because it's looking for textures in "segments\treeline\" but you've put it inside a folder inside the segment folder.

Sorry about the mistake with the segment, but did I not post it in the proper folder tree?

Quote: "Files\segments\treeline"

I'm at home on a very slow connection so I can't check it right now, but I thought I fixed it. If you copied it to the user folder, then you'll have to change the location of the textures in the fps file.

I misread that the first time. I didn't know it was on fps-files, but any of my models are always free to use or change any way you please. Just don't redistribute them without permission.

Thanks all for the comments.

Yes, there's nothing wrong with your segment, it's just I put stuff made by users in the user folder - "Files\segments\user\treeline" and of course it's not looking for the texture there. I just simply opened up the fpe and added the '\user' part.

Thanks Nickydude,

Perhaps I should start using a user folder as well, and put instructions in the content. That should stop some of the confusion.
