This is my most complex facial rig so far. He features fully articulated mouth and lips! Not only can he open and close his mouth, he can even bare his teeth and gums!

I plan on putting this all to good use with some perfectly timed sound effects. I will also be using the new PLRFEEZE command to have him grab you, bare his teeth, then bite 3 times before letting go. I will also include support for AirMod by including a dedicated headshot death animation.

It's gonna be crazy!

Some different mouth an lip poses:

Thanks.

Quote: "Some blood would be nice"

Probably in another texture variation. But this time I took great pride in creating a repulsive zombie WITHOUT using virtually any blood. Going over the top with blood to create repulsiveness is the easy way out.

But I will certainly have more texture variations for this one, it would be a shame to let all that rigging go to waste on just one texture. Perhaps some bloody handprints on him, or some fresh blood dribbling down the chin...I will getting plenty of mileage out of this character.

Yeah, it does look good. Bond, why are your characters so cheep in the TGC store? I would sell them for at least 500 points.

Oh that's SO easy for me to fix for an alternate version, but you have to admit it looks cool. I'll simply collapse those faces and repaint that small section of the texture. I won't even have to re-rig the model! Thanks for the feedback.

Plus that will give me yet another version to upload to the store for those people who want all possible variations. I gots to milk these characters for every penny if I want to recoup my time and hopefully sell enough to make a profit.

Love those ribs! Absolutely horrible!

Could you make at least one of the zombies be a super-fast variation? It would be the perfect one for final level zombies that are harder to get before they get to you

ZOMBIES!!!!!
YAY!!!!!!!!!
Looks awesome as usual Bond!

Quote: "I gots to milk these characters for every penny if I want to recoup my time and hopefully sell enough to make a profit."

I want every Zombie that you make Bond.

Quote: "why are your characters so cheep in the TGC store? I would sell them for at least 500 points"

I agree.
There is no way that I would sell his quality of work for less that 500 points. (even that is too cheap really, but we not rich, so...)

Quote: "Some blood would be nice.
as would chunks of flesh missing"

Yeah blood and wounds are a must on zombies, since we know they more than likely died from a zombie attack.

Quote: "I dont really like the fact of his ribs sticking out.. it doesnt offer much of a rextexture option where it doesnt show them"

I was thinking the same thing about the re-textures on that one. (since he said he will do variations, then this is no problem)
Missing limbs would be a nice variation too! (half eaten arm with the broken bone sticking out an inch or two)
With enough model variations, then the texturing won't be as big of a deal.

Quote: "It's gonna be crazy!"

My only question is;

1) What is the ETA on the Zombies for their Store debut?

Awesome zombie, Bond! What you need is fast moving script and animation variables, as I've got a great idea for a zombie game and I need fast zombies. (I mean... uh, we could ALL benefit from this...) Here's a few suggestions. (I'm not making model requests, just ideas)

A zombie that has no legs and drags itself along the floor.
A harlequin zombie
A zombie that moves along the floor with it's legs and arms sticking up like a praying mantis.
A zombie that chews on it's own small intestine (out the stomach, in the mouth)
A zombie Chuck Norris

Thanks for all the suggestions! I think I will be devoting all my energy into making the definitive zombie collection, and I will try and incorporate all the suggestions so far (except maybe Pus in Boots last two suggestions). Excluding the free items, The Shroudling is the number one most downloaded item on the TGC Store, so it's easy to see that horror is a very popular genre!

A few people have mentioned my prices on the store being too low (and also a few that said they were too high!). I do think they are very cheap, and as a general guideline TGC says characters should be between 300-500 points. So I figured the 500 price point should be reserved for the absolute best character imaginable, I didn't want to hit the price ceiling too early. I'll have to see how it plays out though...

What would be SWEET!

Great work bond, as always.

EDIT: Horror is "the thing" right now, but I think a modeler thats as great as you should see (after this zombie pack is done ov) what you could do with some scifi. honestly the stock scifi characters arnt that great.

Wow amazing stuff man. I can't wait to see it in action. *cough* make video *cough*

I do agree with the whole blood and wounds thing but keep it as a seperate version. Can't wait for this "Ultimate Zombie Pack" It's boring seeing the same zombies in a game. Looking forward to it.

It won't be a "pack", I'll release them one by one as they are finished through the store.

Quote: "It's boring seeing the same zombies in a game"

True...but on the other hand Valve has been using the same zombie in the Half Life 2 series since 2004. Four years later, and I'm still killing that same zombie in Episode 2. C'mon Valve, continuity is a good thing, but you could at least make another texture variation by now!

They made variations. The burnt skeleton one. The Poison one. And the scientist one. And a combine(Zombine). And of-course they don't have a Rebel one, and it isn't very realistic with Rebels always engaging at them and no zombie of them.

If you want them to run around holding a gun and shooting you, then yes they will be compatible with X10 in that respect. But they won't be able to have advanced melee attacks until X10 gets an update to handle melee characters.

Bond, I don't get you. If you put this on Turbo Squid, you would get like 100 bucks for it every purchase!

Or do you have a deal with TGC?

This looks great, I hope you make some more, maybe different kinds like crawling zombies.

The weird thing is, a little manpower could have seen Gordon push his way through the thin wall of boulders that forced him to go into ravenholm. [/off topic]

As for the zombies, it's nice to see I can still wrap people round my little finger. With that in mind, I request- demand- 200 free fully animated models that commemorate Your Beloved Pus in some way. And they must all have exactly 114 deformed ligaments and precisely 9766 polygons. NOW MUSH!!!
