Sorry acp, you were on thread moderation so your post didn't show up (I didn't check because it said I was the last one to post).
Anyway, It would be cool to have you once you have DarkBASIC. Until then you could follow our projects and give input.
@Team
Alright guys, we have officially SCRAPPED Project 3.
Here are some of the things we learned for the future:
1). Don't bite off more than you can chew (this includes expanding bites). The project SEEMED simple, but we went into it without ANY experience that would really prepare us for it (going from fuirous pickaxe and tower defense doesn't make us able to create a full game of that magnitude, even watered down).
2). Long projects DON'T work. We always lose interest as a team, so lets keep the projects simpler, something that can be done in a month or so tops.
3). As much as several of us with projects under our belts would like to, we cannot advance with each project. This is darkNOOBS, and we must keep the projects within that spectrum.
4). As a rule of thumb: If the project requires a map maker that requires a team to build, it is too complicated.
On the positive note, I like to think we got a good intro to memblocks and similar off limits stuff in there, not to mention we started to get a good idea about layers and using them.
