Quote: "Next, as long as you're on this subject, I was hoping to use a similar method where the player opens new doors in a map, and the engine loads each room as a seperate level. However, all of these rooms would be considered part of the same map, and the player can backtrack through these levels as many times as he needs. (IE, the player is in a house, he opens a door to go into the kitchen, and it loads the kitchen room. The player goes back trough that door, and it puts him back in the previous level.) Think about the early Resident Evil titles, if you've ever played them.

I would like to know if this is accepted now before I take it any further, and end up with twenty levels for one chapter

Kravenwolf"

How did you manage that?

Okay, cancel me, i just realized that the media i'm going to use has to be custom to 100% and i'm using much media from the FPSC Models Board,which means i can't follow the guidelines. I'm out.

the other sentence is false.

It could be because I am not a native english speaker - but as far as I understood the rules we only have to make the GAME 100% by ourselves, not the whole media

In case you find my grammar and spelling weird ---> native German speaker ^^

The game level design has to be 100% yours not all the media in the game that can be all stock if you so wish.

Have you tried Rapdishare.com?
Also your not allowed to upload to steam, only games that have been licensed with steam and are worth being put up onto steam are allowed...

Hey The Next, would you please change my name from AdrianoJones to AdrianoJones Wannabe on the first page, it's still the same person, just on a new account because his old one was messed up.

@Arenas

You cannot put it on steam they wont allow you and i cannot mark it if it is on their either. If you still need a place to upload email me and i will give you a secure link to an uploader on my own servers. But i see no reason why the files cant go on any of those sites if the zip file is to large then use win7 ore winrar to make them compress into more than one file.

@Mazz426

Right you are added

@AdrianoJones Wannabe

I will leave your name the same to get your other account unblocked contact either TGC support or a forum moderator they will be able to help you further in this matter. IF it is your password that doesnt work that is easy to fix and you can do it yourself if it is an error message/suspected hacking attempt contact TGC ASAP.
To your other question im not sure what you mean.

Well my other question meant, that instead of making 3 levels, can we make a really long level, with separate routes to the end? Kinda like... non-linear...

@The Next :

I really think that there should be a 'Contest Video' Created when the contest is over. Do a little video showing the top 3 games, have a commentary over it, explain about the game and add the reasons why you liked it and gave it its position, kinda like how IGN make their Review video's. Trust me it would kick ass! You could flicker on screen to what the prizes are. Just an idea

@Adriano jones

That will be ok but i must be able to clearly see 3 separate ways to the end that are infact made by making 3 levels

@Darkowen

That is a great idea i will do that as soon as it is over and marked and will post on the results thread and on youtube, i have an amazing recorder so that will be easy to do with great results

@dark peanut

You are now added to the list

@Arenas

OK that is because of you ISP provider if ti does that it means your internet connection is too slow to upload a file that size and they are stopping you i really dont know what to suggest except email me the game in smaller bits and i will rebuild on this end and upload for you, or you can just upload to a file sharing site in more than one part.

@Mazz426

That is fine as long it abides by the level count rule and a majority of the game MUST be in the preset and majority in my eyes is 70% or more

Hey, Next. I may need to drop out soon for the same reasons I had to close my request thread over at FPSC-Online. I'm not out yet, and I'm gonna try to finish NL. But I may have to drop out.

BTW, I'm seeing a lot of GREAT w.i.p. threads out there. Keep up the awesome work guys.

I'm going to have to drop out as well. FPSC simply won't run a test build or anything. If I get it working in time to have a non-embarrassing entry, I'll join back in. Good luck all!

I wanted to try out your game from your post in the entry thread. The download link you provided takes me to a download called Beta4.rar and when i played it, it was a multiplayer map made in EFXMod on a level set completely underwater.

This doesn't really seem anything like the game you have in your description

...creepy.
let's investigate!

[offtopic]no, let's not (that's right, it's an instant edit)[/offtopic]

anyway, probbably just uploaded the wrong map/game, it's pretty easy for that to happen in build game.

Coming soon: what lies beneath.
