Yeah, it's always annoyed me that you can't really add your own walking sounds (apart from replacing the ones already there).

Good to see that signature is fixed, was it the imageuploading sites fault?

{EDIT} Do you mind if I use that in my signature as well?

{DOUBLE EDIT} I have a suggestion. How about when you're going to create a game, you can edit the settings (Like edit the controls)?

Hey Kerrby,

Quote: "Good to see that signature is fixed, was it the imageuploading sites fault?"

No the size of the image didnt meet the forums specifications but it is fine now And yes feel free to use it

Well as for the settings bit, we cant do it the way you suggest as we cant change the FPSC editor, only the Engine, however we are making an in game menu so you change settings during the game which should be good I may also make an application to help configure the game like when you go to build a game but with added wizmod options to save you having to do it manually.

Also guys we now have some basic underwater sound effects etc.. it adds a bit more realism to the water

Yeah I suppose, that pic is to show off our snazzy water feature, it just uses clever positioning of static objects to give the illusion of Floating objects. But real water physics will be one of our aims.

LOD is, well, the soul of games.

Its the level of detail. Like when you walk towards an object in a game, it looks less square.

LOD - Level of Detail, you ever played any old games where when you are far away from an object it looks all square and pixely, but when it comes near it looks fine? Well that is lod, it is a performance technique that reduces the polygon count of objects which are far away from the player so less polygons have to be rendered therefore increasing performance

EDIT - Oops posted at the same time as you appleslicer - practically the same reply too.

Fair enough, I just thought that you would put the BETA up because it says get the lastest version now which directs you to the download page.

My bad.

Oh, didnt notice. We have a bunch of beta testers on the new(er) version, and once we get a stable enough version, and nail in a splash screen, it will be up. no worries.

Hey guys,

Just a quick update on what we have been working on. Here is a list of things which have been successfully done:

*Underwater sound effects
*Splash sound effects when jumping in/out of water
*Underwater blur - Automatically blurs vision underwater for effect
*Bubbles - Bubble particles have been added for effect.

See the screenie for a sample. The bubble particle image will be changed to a more detailed image, the current image is just one i threw together quickly in paint for testing purposes.

Hope you like and there is lots more to come!

Appleslicer will give you the details, although we have fixed the bug that only allowed you to use blur once, you can now use it as many times as you like.
