you do not need to make animations if you "arent good at it" i say, start doing a game ready model without animations. and then you can always make simple models, like a simple base human, make a skeleton and start animating on that one, I havent gotten into animation myself yet

Looks good mate, though I think the sand needs to be piled up around the TV, like sand drifts. And there should be some more grime/wear on the actual screen itself. More scratches from sand on the glass.

it is an anime serie^^ Very good one, but too long for my tastes, just watched 50something episodes, and the fact that it is 200+ episodes and still growing is scaring me =P longest anime ive seen is soul eater, 51 episodes...

heh =P

model looks great^^

Soul eater had a very good art style to it. Oh and you think 272+ episodes is alot, One piece is the longest running series with no sign of stopping.

I do enjoy smaller animes for in betweens then going back to the longer ones as they update over time.

Back on topic

Its looking very nice, he seems hyper active but i wont say much more untill you'v fleshed him out some more ^__^

He knows that, but why would he up the poly count? He's not focusing on the eyes, and probably won't if he doesn't end up texturing it.

Thanks everyone, I'll properly respond when I get back but don't worry I have the eyes at higher subdivs but I rendered it at it's lowest for speed

Because he's going into high-detail.
Not every model people make are supposed to be for games.

The 2,000,000th TGC post was made in MY ww2 weapons thread!

He just needs to apply a smoothing group, its still in development so he hasnt bothered adding in any shaders or smoothers yet

I know, but I'm saying that he doesn't need to add the extra polies for something that is both a perfect sphere and he is not focusing on.

I think the non symmetric mouth is what makes this model look interesting. It's the main part of the model that draws our attention. I'd keep it the way it is.

Just my 2 cents

here's a start on my alien bust, this is at the moment sort of my 4.0 matcaps test model, so tell me what you think, this also was rendered in zbrush 4.0 using a SSS matcap (sub-surface scattering)

Emm.... It looks like a mash of pink stuff with some wierd lips and spikes? I think you need to re-design it, Get some human anatomy in there!

i really wanted to avoid human characteristics in this model, i've found that that works 9/10 times but often results in people focusing on the recognisable characteristics, human eyes, nose etc. i really just wanted to take a brake from human anatomy for a few days, thanks for the advice though, i did remove the lip, it did look really wierd

Frozencore#6@
thanks, i was thinking of a puffer fish when i made it, hence the spikes

andyway here's an update, also rendered it a bit brighter, i thiknk its a much crisper render this time round, im using a new setting called 'best preview render' i've found its the best way to render SSS shaders from within zbrush, tell me what you think, thanks

thanks laz, heres something else i've been working on, its another human body base, i know another one, im trying to make this one perfect, no tris, and effective optomisation, i'v started with the hands, next to the head i see it as the most difficult part, this is probably about 2 hours work, i'll post a wireframe when its completely finished, and of course when its finished it'll be posted for free on the modelbase for all to enjoy especially the fellow zbrush users

Its a student license from my I.c.t tutor Had it quite a while now the 3.1 release, non-upgradable unfortunatly.

Playing in it for a while an im remebering how ticked off i get when using zspheres lol.

I think ill stick with max for bases then expand in zbrush then cage down again

Ohh and you should find this intresting; Link

I was going to sculpt for this up comming project but ive forgotten more than i should have lol. Ill work on it with a few tutorials on the web. I still should have a few floating on my backup drive aswell.
