I'd be careful, they don't like fanfics full of non-canon characters - because it's inherently difficult to characterise them well.

I have the best idea. Rarity will come to Manehatten to see a long-time customer and see the sights. Hoovey Dent (AKA Harvey Dent) will tie her to a chair in a burning building while a bomb ticks in another building, which parodies the real scene of how Two-face was made. Rarity will be saved by Blackpony, and they will fall in love. Rarity will stay a short while longer but eventually leave, which will leave Blackpony to various trips to Ponyville, but will come back to Manehatten every time.

How's that.

I heard of the project but I never saw that specific demo video. The one I saw was much more simple, no background, two exact applejacks, anyway. That would be awesome, I would pay money for that. Let's just pray there's finishing moves, or at least really unique moves, like The Stare. (Fluttershy's finisher would be Flutter-rage.) And that there is lot's of characters, not just the 7 main people. Include the CMC, maybe Snips and Snails, Luna should be a boss, and Celestia should be a cutscene only character.

That would be awesome.

Oh, appears they are doing a 17 character roster. They have confirmed the main 6 will be in but the rest are ones voted for. They said "One background character didn't get enough votes, we're very sad about that" So I would count out Derpy Hooves. You know they will have the main 6 so that leaves the 11 left. They said there would be one non-pony, and that is most likely Spike, but I would hope for gummy. The other 10 should be the CMC, which would leave 7. Princess Luna is always a favorite, so that would be 6. Any other ideas? Everyone hates Trixie, and I just feel Princess Celestia would be over doing it.

There's more background characters than Derpy, they probably mean Lyra, (induces tears), or Berry Punch, etc.

And believe it or not, everyone loves Trixie. She's very popular in fanon as she's this character that when given a good backstory can become a suprisingly deep character. (Overactive ego to compensate for previous tragedy,) or at least, that's what I've written.

If you look on EDaily, she has a pretty substantial fanfic base.

Look up The Ballad of Twilight Sparkle. Very clever comedy writing, I'm chatting to the writer now who's actually a pretty cool guy. It's shipping, but he doesn't like...y'know, pony makeout stories.

Also alot of bronies agree that the first two are the weakest of the series, but they're necessary for setting up the characters. Normally by episode four you'll be able to decide whether you like it or not.
