Bush baby, the grass thing had been growing in my head for more than a year, and suddenly I had the whole script there!
It´s just the awfully long loading time I have to do something about...
The S.t.u.n. script had some major bugs, but it´s fixed now...
Tomorrow I´ll have to go to school and I have to finish that giant pile of homework that I have. So there won´t be any news then...

I think...

Cheers!

Due to harddrive problems, I have to send my computer to reparation and it will be away for at least 10 days...
No more screenies for a while then...

@ Antidote
I don´t understand 100%, maybe you could paint an example?

I tried it, and now its rendered in part of my background in a program I'm making in C#

just paint the grass in a 2D program, then save as something like grass.jpg then make the grass completely black, and the background white, then save as 'grass_aplha.jpg" then make a plain object, apply the grass as a texture, then apply the grass_alpha as an aplha map and do this on severval grass plains and position them around the scene

Woohoo! I´m back!
Now my computer works properly and this is the
things that I have to do in the weekend:
Give all monsters a health variable.
Make some sort of monster death.
Fixing bugs that will occur...

And here´s a cool screenie, with soulhunter jumping on those platforms to escape from the monster.

I'm LOVING those models - the art style is so twisted and dark - looks a bit like a cross between the Nightmare Before Christmas and those old chldren's books about bedtime monsters

Uhmm... a demo?... I don´t know if I have the time to make one...
But if someone know some good program for

GameCam is very good. Unlimited time recording, you give the url to the exe and it records with hotkeys anytime you want.
Only thing is the watermark in the right-bottom of the screen.

I tried to record another game of mine, and that worked fine.
Is there any commands that collides with gamecam???
Anyway, I will give it one more try tomorrow.

MOVIE TIME!

I figured it out! It was the "set window on" command and something more that I can´t remember...

Anyway, download the video by pressing the "download" button!
One more thing, the fps in the video says: 50, but the truth is it was 62! Weird...
The video itself is 25.

I know that the video is a little heavy...

Ahem...
I was wondering, the graphics look totally awesome. It looks great, you have a lot of talent and potential in excess! But this game would look totally better with a sweet GUI to go with it!

Hmm, ok... There´s something wrong with the movie...
It seems that only my über-pc can handle it...
I´ll try to compile it in windows moviemaker, wich should work...

@ Black Ethereal
I have never really understand what a GUI is, but I´m just a swedish kid so an explanation would be nice!

If it means "graphic user interface", then what does that mean?
Some kinda menu?

U guys are great!
Thank you all!

With some special effects and sounds the game will be even better!
The game has been much easier to develop with all the nice words that you´ve given it!
But still there´s a lot of work left before it´s finished.
And I promise to release more videos later on.

Okay, dictionary definition of a GUI:

Quote: "A graphical user interface (or GUI, sometimes pronounced "gooey") is a method of interacting with a computer through a metaphor of direct manipulation of graphical images and widgets in addition to text."
- Wikipedia.com

Basically a gui is a menu in your game were all the buttons are, here are examples:

Dune2000

Quake3 Arena

Gunz Online

So basically, a Gui is a group of widgets and/or statistics related directly to your game.
It may include health, mp, stamina, weapons, spells, skills, that sort of thing. It may also have buttons to go to the main menu, a quit button, a pause button and/or Inventory button.

NOTE: I apologise for the insanely large size of the last pic.

Oh yeah! Speaking of the most awesome online game ever, what is your character name? Mine is Excelsium funnily enough, though you could figure that out by the screenshot.

And to make this a valid topic:
Yeah, the video was awesome. But I do think you should make the camera angle a little higher.

@ Black Ethereal
a)
Thank you 4 the description! I will make some kinda health bar and something that shows how many souls that you´ve collected and probably something more.
b)
From the beginning the camera was positioned higher than it is now, but I didn´t like it. Maybe I can make something that allow the user to change the camera position.

zzz, I am thoroughly impressed.
You had very very smooth animations, very nice textures, and moving clouds!!!!
The clouds bit caught me off guard, they were very unexpected!
I was curious, could you make us a video with the grass enabled?

Here you go, a vid with the grass effect on!
As you can see I had to speed up the movie, because
Gamecam made it slow down a lot!
I made this small list of different sync rates:
No grass, no game rec = 60fps
Grass, no game rec = 37-42fps
Grass, game rec = 25fps
