Ok, here is the boss I made. I used pieces of the other alien ships and a little bit of the texture image.

Do you think there is any way I can improve it?

Rubix Cube program, mind if I take a peak at that program or if there was someone that could help me with limbs, and how to move it in a rubix cube fashion?

BTW David I almost forgot to thank you, IT LOOKS GREAT!!

Well, my code wasn't exactly the greatest , and there are probably better ways to do what I did... Anyway, I used
OFFSET LIMB object#, 0, x, y, z to position the cubes so that they would spin around the center, and used EZRotate to rotate the cubes globally. The part that there is most likely a better way to go about doing is that I used collision with a box to determine what cubes were in what layer

I didn't use limbs, i used offset limb on limb 0 which just offset the object. Each cube was a different object.

@David Gervais
Sorry to hear that David - hope she gets well soon.

@Gamefreak
That is still confusing lol, the only 3D stuff I have done anyways is with objects I created in DBPro, I guess I'll have go experiment unless you can give me some sample code and explanation.

Thanks,

*Bump* :-P

Here is my finished game with your awesome graphics:
http://www.shmup-dev.com/index.php?topic=477.0

I will make a public announcements thread once they are judged. Can't wait. I hope I do good!

Thank you so much for the graphics! They are so good! I will take a different approach for the graphics in my next game. I will make the enemies out of just circles and stuff to make it look a little cartoonish.

David G. do you have a zip file with your avitars in it? I want to download some off the website but it wont let me, the website keeps crashing and burning. ( lets me load about half the avitars page and then nothing from madmans site works anymore.) anyway I have a few ideas of fun ways to use the great avitars you made and would like to give it a try.

Also, beside dark basic I own a FPS engine called " Pie in the SKy - Game Creation system" whih is a 3d FPS engine that I own all the rights for, my problem is the artwork, I dont have much and though I am an artist with pencil and paper I cannot draw on the PC, so I was wondering if you would be interested in helping with the artwork portion of game making for a 50% cut of any profits made?! since I bought the engine a few years ago I have already eaten the cost of it and don't care about return on that investment, but as we could all use some new fresh games it could be a good thing to get paid for something nice.

the first game I want to make is a Music related Game using the concept that a band is playing in a bar somewhere and is kidnapped by a mad scientist (think "Kiss and the phantom of the park") and then the scientist replaces the real band with mechanical people( ooops, "Robots") and the game is a FPS that you are a record producer who wants to sign the band and in order to do that you will need to get rid of the "fake" bands and find the real ones so they can sign a contract with you. the weapons would go in this order
1st - an Ink pen that shoots ink into the eyes of the robots stunning them for a few seconds.
2nd - a briefcase, sounds dumb but can be used by swinging it around and hitting the robots.
3rd - a CD shooter, shoots CD's as blades and can take off a limb in 2 or 3 shots
4th - an LP shooter, this one shoots 12" records out and can take off a head or limb in one shot.
5th - a Demo Casset Tape bomb, this one needs to be used in conjunction with a boom box, and if you find the boom box and then start to colect Crappy demo tapes from small time bands and they can then be used as bombs by placing them in the boom box and pressing play and running away, if the tape plays for 5 or 10 seconds the boomm box goes BOOM!
6th - and so on.......can't give away too much yet.

and of course I need people models and textures for inside and outside buildings and such. in all this could be a lot of work.

the biggest issue is that the Engine I Own uses a special type of art file and needs to be formatted in the special format before importing into the game. ( it's not real hard just time consuming.)
anyway let me know if you have any interest in a project like this, there is no hurry as I have bought the engine 7 years ago and have made only 3 games from it so far.( due to limited artwork) so just let me know.

Can anyone make some card images... I would like to have some warriors, mages, rouges, nacromancer, and priest.
I want only the card border with a box below the image and the background of the card to have 5 different color like red, yellow, green, blue, and purple...

If you don't understand then maybe this hyperlink will show you which I want it to look alike, but more different.

http://images.google.com/images?q=yugioh+card&svnum=10&hl=en&lr=&safe=off&start=40&sa=N

Please and thank you very much.

David .I hope your mom gets well soon. I have the same problem here and I am spending most of my days in the hospital. I don't know if you've answered this before but which art package do yo use? I am still looking for something I can use with the ease of Deluxe Paint IV on my Amiga. Am I being nostalgic or today's art programs really have lost something on the way. They have great effects etc for photo manipulation but basic drawing tools are another story. Thank you.
PS: By the way your works are great.

Card images,.. kind of generic with different color backgrounds? I think I can do something.. It would help if you gave me an idea of what size you need (in pixels please, inches mean nothing for me)

and..

I use the following programs..

Artgem v1.3 (no longer available)
PSP 8.0 (with the flamingpear plugins)
Bryce 5.5 (for renderings)
Anin8or (for making models)
LithUnwrap (to create UV maps and add textures.)

Cheers!

Huh? Never heard of kindom kind, and I've allready posted that I do not respond well to people 'nibbling' on my talent. If you are making a card game and need both the card layouts 'AND' all the graphics to go with them like monsters, spells, warriors, mages etc you are asking for way too much,. use google to find some pictures. I'm sorry but you are asking too much.

But that said I'm glad you like the layouts, Cheers!
