Quote: "I just tried to make the ship look a bit 'organic' as opposed to 'constructed'"

oh yeah...organic is what I was thinking of. I want it to be mostly constructed, and only a little bit organic(as in no eyes, tenticles, mouths) Thanks Sorry I wasen't very clear in what I meant

Oh, also, would you mind posting those explosion animations you posted on the 4th page again. The page seems to not want to load the images.

BTW, would you like to be part of the shmup compo group for the game I am making for the graphics? (BNT stuff is already in for the music)

First, a .png version of the first fighter..

next a new fighter...

and,.. the explosions..

Cheers!

P.S. As for the compo group, if you use my graphics, just mention me in the credits and perhaps point to this thread. That's all I ask.

If you don't mind, I need some checker board tiles, preferably a green and brown marble kind of thing. If possible, i'd like each square to be either 200 or 256 pixels wide. I only need an image with 4 tiles, 2 green and 2 brown, so that would be either 400*400 or 512*512.

This is kind of the style I want:

Thanks.

Something like this maybe for checker tiles? I just pulled a texture out of my old experiments, moved it around to look like this.
If you have any tweaks like colour too vibrant i can change that.

Sure, but all the regular rules apply - such as don't sell it on to 3rd party, don't claim it as your own.. blah blah blah
I would say a put a link to my website if you want - except i don't have one
umm... it'd be nice to have some recognition for it but i'm not sure how because i don't have a website... or a company...
I know, if you have some sort of credits page or something on this game then it'd be nice to have it copyrighted to 'Kelz from thegamecreators.com' because i can't think of anything else teehee

But then again i did it because i was bored lol so if it's too much to ask just say... but it is my image!

3ds Master what is/are shop icons and scenery icons? just 2 icons to represent the categories? or are there a bunch of icons you need?

If you have a list of the icons you need please feel free to post the names and descriptions of the icons. The more info I have the better chance I get to drawing them.

Cheers!

Kelz, nice texture, thanks for responding to the request. It's good to see that I am not alone in doing artwork here.

Thanks alot for the next fighter, David. And you don't even want to be in the group since you will be doing a HUGE part of the development of the game? You are cool! I'm still going to put you in the very begining of the game with me and BNT stuff, you just won't be part of the group since you don't want to. I will put the link to this thread in the readme since no one could remember the URL from inside the game...

I just added the explosions and the second alien yesterday. Now I get to add the real ones! Thanks again!

3ds Master, is that your game?

Those look cool

David, the speed in what you are giving me the aliens is perfect. You always seem to finish them right after I finish the alien with a place holder graphic. Thanks for putting your time into making graphics for people. You rule

Oh, and the next alien, or the next one you start if you have already started the third one, I would like it to be circluar and mostly symetrical, and with blades coming out of it like on a propellar.
Attached is what I mean. Also, can you make the same image, except without the blades sticking out? Thanks

Hi David
Still working on Gems. Here is a game I made using Dark Basic Pro.It is a simulation of a Rubick's cube.Any graphics you could think of for splash screen, instructions etc. would be appreciated. The cube models were made by me, the skycube textures were free of the web.

If you have those names on them - then they're still copyright. You'd need to make up your own drinks, with symbols to avoid any possible cease and desist letters later.

Could I make a small request please? A gun flash...you know, when you fire a gun, the flash that comes in front of the barrel? It needs to be on a black background.

Agent, nice gun flash... Uncle Sam, you did not specify size or if you need it as a side view or like Agent's view.

If Agent's texture is good for you, then gratz and thanks Agent for taking care of this request.

Agent Dink, beautiful! Thank you very much!

EDIT: sorry David, I forgot to describe it. But this one's perfect anyways.

I know you already made one for me Agent Dink, but if you or David could make another one or two with just a different shape but the same size, I'd really appreaciate it, because I need different flashes for different guns.

Here is how I want the 4th and 5th aliens:

Make a rectangular base with curved edges. Copy it and add a missle launcher to the top. That would be the 4th alien. Then, copy the base again and add missle launchers to both sides of the base.

After that, please post the base, and the two aliens.

Thanks alot for making sprites for our games! You rule.

David has done an AMAZING job supporting this thread, and giving to others. We should all give something to this thread while he is gone, just so he knows it's not a one way street.

David said
Quote: "I wonder what interesting stuff will be posted here when I come back."

It would be sad if there were no graphics posted by anyone else while he was gone......so, EVERYONE should post something here for others to use, that you have the rights to. That would show how much you really appreciate David's efforts!

Here I'll start with a soap bubble image

I'm back, and it looks like I got more aliens and buttons to do..

...
Quote: "and 2 other arrow style thinsg like slopes with arrows on if you understand what i mean"

Not quite sure, but is it to raise/lower slopes? Add/remove? Several arrows on one button with a curvy thing on it? It might help is you told me what the buton is for.

Westray, nice rubiks cube game, unfortunately I never got the hang of how to solve the cube. If you have it as a backdrop of a clock and every 5 seconds rotate a facit randomly it might make a good screensaver,.. lol, sorry I couldn't resist. I can't wait for the next update to the GemCluster game.

Thanks to all who kept this thread alive while I was gone.. Nice Bubble, how about a set of bubles with a different color tint to each in case someone wants to make a bubble'pop type game? (just a suggestion, no pressure)

Cheers!

Here is the button Update... (with arrows added)..

Cheers!

Edit: FYI.. As you can see by the time between posts it took me 28min to make the 4 arrow buttons,.. most of that time was spent trying different color arrows. Once I know what needs to be inserted in the button making them is quick.

P.S. Aliens are harder than buttons etc,.. My specialty is in UI design so I don't have allot of practice making aliens.. It's harder work too, but I'll get around to it.
