Outstanding You're getting great at this gun thing aren't you? Will you ever make a 3D modeling tutorial? Your texture tutorials helped me to a great exetent, when I was a PhotoShop noob I don't classify myself as a noob anymore thanks to them...

Your work is so clean! I wish I had 3DS Max... AC3D just doesn't fit my needs and neither does any other modeling program. Blender, Milkshape, Truespace, or Wings 3D. I've entirely grown out of it! It's just that 3DS is obviously outta my price range. I should try the trial...

(sorry to drive you off-topic) Would you mind going to my forums, check out the 3D section and email feedback on my shotgun? I know of no one who would do that and I'm starting to get a lot off inspiration of your work

PW Productions/ all of the programs above can produce models of the standard of mine, you dont need to spend any money upgrading just spend more time learning the craft & software.the software doesnt make the models the artist does

i had a look mate but couldnt find any images ? try sending me a link & i will try again.

Good work on the texture, but the uv map has a lot of small pieces floating about there.

you've got to be looking at a different uv map to me there is only one small part & thats some hidden polys stacked ontop of each other to save room.

your more than welcome to give me some tips on how to do it better & point out these small floating pieces to me as i really cant see what your talking about.

Henry's UV Maps are better then some professionals. They use the maximum amount of space while keeping everything scaled equally...what more can you ask for?

Sorry what i was talking about was you have some pieces that can be scaled up to give a better res, theres not much but you could still squeeze out a bit more space in the uv's, just something to think about next time round, but like i said, nothing major.

Sorry, I accidentally set it so that only members can see the images Let me send you an e-mail instead

And what I meant about the 3D programs, I was just saying that sometimes AC3D is difficult to use for the things I need. I've figured out EVERYTHING (not exaggerating, every tutorial) it can do. It is absolutely NOT good for humanoids and some forms of weapons... It also doesn't have certain features I can see you are using. It does have some, but they are very bad. For instance, the subtract feature. It makes a mess out of triangles and vertices...

EDIT: E-mail sent!

Nice! The metal looks a little faded, maybe try making it seem more... metallic? Or just do it with a shader.

its beautiful, i do however think that you should vary the materials that you make, mabey if the butt of the gun was made of wood, also very nice for the poly count, is the texture 2048 * 2048 or is it 1024 * 1024

its 1024 x 1024 mate,as for the materials i tryed to stay true to my reference pics but i may do an alternative version later.

Nice shotgun! Texture gives it a sort of Left4Dead kind of style (if that is what you were going for).
