Thanks
I made it 3 times...the first two I forgot to save and 3dws crashed...

I just finished the outerwall, the texture is only a place holder untill I make a real nice stone texture.
Its only a little over 6k polys without tables, lights and other things to make it more realistic.

Its hard to keep away from curved surfaces when making a castle...but I guess this will have to have mostly squares, until Josh gets that face smoothing done...

Hey everyone. Im posting some pics of recent work on the facility for our game Krizon. Anybody that hasnt heard it before, the blue texture is just the placeholder texture i use when doing my level design work.

Thanks for comments.

@koolaid 2764: I like the stile of the levels you build. 'Krizon' would be worth checking, indeed. Can you post a link to the page of the game?

I'm glad you prehemptively cleared that out koolaid or someone _would_ have asked it again LOL

It reminds me a bit of that part in Monty Python's Holy Grail where Michael Palin has to explain a million times to the guards "You just stay here and make sure he doesn't leave". Classic.

Thanks guys for the comments.Miguel you know i had to let everyone know this time. Pulsar right now we are working on a demo of Krizon, we have been working on the game for quite some time and getting closer. The only of area you can check out the game is in W.I.P thread, it isnt on the main page anymore because we havent posted in there in a long time. We may soon update the thread with some new info and screenies, but stay tuned till then.

Thanks for the interest in Krizon.

Your new level looks really good. It's pretty cool how you have all the levels look kinda like each other. Keeping the style

Preassigned untextured areas. Makes it easier to texture maps as you can pretty much see what hasn't been done yet. A good design technique.

I figured it me way more efficient to use a solid colored image as this texture. You can disgunish different parts of the map, and see the map better. All the pics ive posted in here are from our W.I.P Krizon. The world in our game is very large, and i have broken the facility down into zones, to optimize performance. The maps youll have seen are part of what will be in the demo. Miguel i found that funny you'd say that.

I like the fence texture. I still can't figure out how to get transparent textures into CS4, I tried that .tga exporter thing, but the only one that runs with a decent frame rate in CS4 is the .tga window texture that came with the app, everything else makes the program run at about 5 FPS .

Nice work. Real textures always look so much better. The geometry is quite simple, yet it looks quality. Do you take those photos yourself? Is it local architecture?
