Nice new pic's bond.

Can we show something else than characters? (They are getting boring).

The green bar I am going to guess is the health bar. However, all speculation as im sure if bond told us, it would be against his NDA.

Quote: "Thats what figure, about a 3 man team with maybe the occasional free lancer helping out. I just wish they would get their act together and give us updates at least once a week. That really isn't allot to ask"

We've got a week before the next newsletter. Perhaps they are saving it all for it?

Hmm... being it's almost June and this topic is titled "April 2007" wouldn't it be wise to start a new topic for the current month's WIP shots? That or maybe change this one's name/make a new topic without a month specification.

What I meant to say is, is FPSC X10 going to be released anytime soon they are way late with the release and all I wanted to know if it will be out anytime soon. I've been following the development of it since it was announced a while ago and all I want to know is if it will be out any time soon. Just an estimate would be nice.

I have a suggestion that I feel is extremely important to me (depending on whether or not I will spend around 2,000 USD just to get fpsc x10):
Can you "paint" water onto the level instead of having the entire layer either have water or not? Like if you wanted to have puddles or small lakes....do you understand what I B trying to say mon?

P.S.
Sry, I got a little Jamacian there. lol.

I don't think this company feels like answering questions, you can all bash me if you like, but seriously they visit the forum once a month, tell us they have something new and great and then just disapear. When was the last date that lee even gave us an update.

If I ran a company like this, I wouldn't have one customer left.

I am just saying.

They need to start giving us weekly updates. I love the software, but the lack of news or information (Or even the appearance of concern) is starting to annoy me

Please guys, throw us a freaking bone. I went out and bought a new computer with an 8800 gpu and I am still waiting.

June is this friday. You said it would be out in early to mid may.

I'm not going to bash you, because I'm starting to believe that. I understand TGC only has a couple guys working on FPSC X10, but updates once a week or every other week would be nice.

FPSC x10 is a new product and you will have to purchase it.Whether existing FPSC owners will get a discount or not and exactly what the price is hasn't been announced yet.
I do know that Rick has posted on a number of occassions that x10 will run around the same amount as this version of FPSC...TGC are still marketing it to the same user group. My guess would be it would be a few bucks more.
Also of not is that in last month's newsletter there was a link to an Direct x10 compatible graphics card for about $100.

Folks, the fact is that until TGC is ready to release x10 nobody is going to know any specifics....other than you need Vista and a x10 compatible graphics card...and that Bond is doing some incredible work.

You guys should be happy you get the info and updates you have been getting. It took forever for them just to put out the very first update for FPSC.
Have some patience and make a game or something.
As some of the old timers know (like Butters) patience is required when using FPSC and for waiting for updates and such.
I am sure about the second they get something done or know anything the will pst it just to shut us up.

Hmm.. A little idea from me;
Dont know whether its been suggested, or whather its planned but here goes.
I recommend some form of terrain editor (Drag polygons to reshape land and so on.)
this of course can be done using external software as we already know in FPSC (current version) but not everybody is as talented as Rolfy, Errant, Bond, Butters etc.
I think this is a pretty nesecarry option, since not all terrian is 90 degress now, is it?
Problem is, it of course would produce more polys for FPSC to run.

Can you say "why?"

Altogether it is going to cost me about $300 or so...$400 at the most...to upgrade...provided my motherboard doesn't start a house fire when I hook the Nvidia Geoforce 8500 I plan I getting into it.
This includes the cost of buying Vista.
And I already upgraded my memory...so now I just need the card and Vista...and FPSC x10 (which I didn't include the cost of in the upgrade).
I am,at some point in time in the future, going to upgrade to x10 but I still plan on working with this version of FPSC as well.

Oh,yeah...double post.

Quote: "As it is a new product, will the fpsc model packs work for x10?"

Yes...and if you watch the vids you will see stuff from the model packs (in the TGC gallery there is are pics of x10 that show the 9mm suppressed from model pack 6.
If TGC upgrades the model packs for x10 then the update for it should be in your order history if they decide to upgrade them.

Yes, the card will work on XP just fine, but to my understanding, DX10 will not.

Quote: "DirectX 10 Technology
DirectX 10 improves the graphics, security, and performance of your operating system. Download and install this update for your Windows Server 2003, or Windows XP-based system.
"

I don't know what that means, but I could not find it anywhere else except on Tiger Direct. There is no DX10 download from Microsoft. There are a few sites that claim to have a version in testing, though.

Best.
