692 polygons seems a bit high too, i'll see what i can do about that without sacraficing quality.

Also, give me an idea of how you want it texturing, the arms and the legs i mean

I want a cartoony approach texture. And the legs to be jeans or something like that. The shoes are brown with a shoelace. The arms could just be Orange to match with the burger buns. And Oolite its says 385 polys here. What are you using?

Ah it triangilates it. In blender you don't need to trianglate it.

No, you just need to tick the box next to it to count the tri's instead of the polygons, polygons really gives you a false sense of what its really going to be like in game.

Thanks tha_rami. Will do my best to support the team.

@ Tecnuro Entertainment LTD : Can you clarify whether you want the 3D model done following gameplay (chibi style) Or your conceptual designs. Cause they are both conisderably different.

Model should be done in conceptual design if possible (chibi just a representation of the detail for easier animation in 2D) but, if not then chibi style is fine.

They've already started on a chibi since it really fits better and I must say I'm impressed by Oolite's work (and Micophone's corrections). When we make some significant challenge on Kez, I'll post a WIP shot of him here.

@tha_rami: I dunno if its alreayd done but could you do me a favor and make a horizontal chart with job lists etc when you have the time.

No# 1

Job- make model x

Description- - Make textures
- Modify legs

Person in charge- None

Completed? - No

All jobs that is and post it in the TGC Heroes forum, so atleast we all have a clear picture of whos doing what and what needs to be done, so I can jump in and work on one of the jobs if need be.

So if there are new things that need to be done we just update the chart.

Will work on it from tomorrow around 14:00GMT - sorry, it's 3:17GMT, I'll have breakfast in an hour (ramadan) and then go to bed. I basically live the opposite life - living at night and waking at 14:00.

A quick update.

We've got three great modellers and animators aboard now, Oolite, Micophone and diesel1604 as backup (he works with Seadome as well). If they can live up to my expectations of them, they're going to make this game shine and Chris is going to make this game rock. The rest is going to continue supporting all the above guys with as many help as possible.

Kez' model is starting to look very Kez by now. It's completely untextured at this moment, but the proportions match the style of both Kez:LotF and TGCH. Great work by Oolite and Micophone.

Everyone is doing a great job and we've selected Chris as team-leader and me as spokesman. Questions, weird ideas, briliant ideas, characters we could use, environments that would be cool to have, powerups, items, aid, everything is welcome at our forums.

Sign up now at http://tgcheroes.yourbb.nl/!

Would you consider using my group's character, Jack Fantastic, from our game Revenge? It was a semi popular FPS for a while. A pic for you to mull over.

He does have background story if you ever need one.

Phoe, Dr. Manette, hard one. Doesn't look like he has a 3D model or similar, does he? If not, it'll be quite hard as we can't distinguish any models. I do remember Revenge and I was thinking that your design had a 'MSPaint' style. That might work as a Arena.

We could use him as a powerup (kinda like the Pokeballs), maybe?

I can't promise things yet.

Yea, the players were all 2d plains to match the DOOM feel. I'd be willing to draw up a Revenge map, if Jack doesn't actually fit in. Not sure what you mean by distinguish any models.

Now, what you could do is use our power up "Revenge" (a red and yellow R) as a power up for invincibility or to "summon" Jack. Whatever floats the team's boat.

Data has been doing some, Gil Galvanti is working on two levels and if you're willing to help out with that as well, you're more than welcome.

I meant details, but it's 3AM here so please accept my humble apologies for such a mistake so early on the day . I'll discuss it with the team.

Mico

The Crazy designed and modeled Battlezone One Billion. kyp is working on The Swamp. We like to have levels from TGC games, but Data's Frantic Forum is an example of a new level we intend to add.

I think there should be an option of using a plain for a character instead of a full 3D model... Game & Watch style.

Well, NeX, it seems we're going for a 3D approach and really, what does it matter? 2D would only give us more to do for little result - which is just not feasible or worth putting time in for this stage of development.

If at any time we feel there should be an option for 2D characters, we'll talk about it later. At this point, the team agrees 3D is the best way to go.

Well, Mico, on your request, the WIP of Burgerman for the public.

Micophone is doing a great job - he and Oolite made themselves unmissable teammembers by now, and their style is spot-on.

LBFN is away for two days, so we'll have to wait until he gets back before we can have coding updates. He did succeed in setting up three AI's at a great framerate (70 FPS) with unoptimized models or code, so I guess it's going great.

Well, a little update.

NEW CONTESTERS!!!
John from Soharix' Recre John
John is big, heavy and saved the world from aliens while collecting donuts in the two (if you ask us, culthit) 'John' titles that have been released. Our goal is to make him a slow, powerful fighter with a majority of downward air attacks. He will jump low, but have a high superjump.

Onima from Seppuku Arts' Shadow Behind the Leaves
Onima is a character from a Broken Sword/Longest Journey style game from Seppuku Arts. We did think about adding Paris Hilton as a special attack, but decided not to since a triple one-hit KO sounded unfair. We're thinking of giving Onima a large scala of ranged attacks. She's fast, jumps high but yields little damage and has little stamina. She'll most resemble Pikachu.

Tito from Tito 2!
What can we say? One of the games that has been around for long while on the forums, we couldn't miss Tito. He'll be one of the non-pedal characters, meaning in this case that he'll be floating like Mewtwo. His attacks, however, will be mostly be melee/shortranged.

NEW ARENA'S!!!
We've started working on a FPSC level with included stock models, falling through floor traps and looks. We're also working on a secret level and Gil Galvanti is working on a Pirates of Port Royale and a Virtual Office level. Bizar Guy helped us out with a Dream level, which will be Kel's homelevel.

I'm considering asking SW3D Games to have Michael or Scott Garett from the series, who are main story elements in the games. These characters don't exists at all in visual form, so that would be hard but fun ones (similar to Starfox).

Sorry, I know 'uber-est' isn't even a word, but you've got to give me points for creativity surely?

Well, it'll be interesting to see how our characters turn out in this game. Keep it up guys
