To clarify the whole thing: the team is making TGCH.

Thanks.

Well, Chris has something to show the eager audiences. We were glad to have unanimously positive replies on the video, so here's the first pic of the animated character Cheeseburger, one of the original TGCH characters. The models are mostly made by Deathead and Micophone, Chris did the rigging and animation.

If you look closely, not only is this a new character but also...

We're interested, Sixty Squares. Could you sign up to our forums, and explain who you are so we can give you instructions to get him in the game?

Cheeseburger has a lot of different moves. Some of the more notable ones are:
He has a sideways roll, where he drops to the ground and roll-attacks his opponents. His headbutt is kind of funny, in that he bends down and his top bun pops off to smack his opponents with. His taunt has him bouncing up on one foot with his top bun spinning around. He can shoot spurts of ketchup at opponents too. When he grabs opponents, he spins around 1 and 1/2 times with them and then flings them away. His Uberpwnage move has him raising his hands and bringing them down to the ground, causing a plume of mustard gas to spread out away from him. Any opponent that gets caught in the wake is going to receive some heavy damage.

What about spinning the cheese around like a razor? Was that not considered?

Cheeseburger does have a spin attack, but he spins completely, not just the cheese. Sorry, spinning just the cheese was not considered.

I think the effect for that would be too subtle to really notice anyway. I think you'll find CB is a more than capable character, though.

Hello all, *first post*.

As requested by Data, I have worked on a new signature for TGCH.. here's what it looks like:

Comments are welcome. If enough people don't like it I will make a new one.

nice sig, but i thought you said you'd make ones with all the characters . So each character has his (or her) own sig. Only then were you supposed to show everyone!

Actually, we hadn't really looked too hard at FPSC characters, as you mainly see the arm/hand of the guy doing all of the shooting. Anyway, I took a look and found the awesome 'Bioshock Dude' character that Cheese Cake made. Cheese Cake gave us permission to use him in TGC Heroes, so we do indeed plan to have at least one FPSC character in the game.

Thanks for the idea!

It didn't get turned down by LBFN, Deathead. You can keep saying that: it got turned down by the team. We appreciate your interest in the game. We don't want a new sig. Thanks for the effort.

The story, Bizar Guy, is amazing. It flawlessly incorporates all stories of all games we're featuring into a solid and fun story that will surprise readers with witty plot-twists, powerful drama and emotional setbacks, only to continue with a message of hope and trust - and maybe even love.

In other words, as far as I'm concerned they got sucked up by a black hole and decided to brawl. Although the team might decide to have an actual story.

The game has made so much progress since I last contributed (the core logo that everyone is using for these new sigs =P). If I could UV Map and texture, animated and find the model for that matter I would've loved to have Tauru in this game. But it ain't that big of a deal. Nice to see progress.

Hey, you're not too late, seeing you made the logo. If you still can find the stuff we need (basic model, with texture) - LBFN and us might decide to use it .

Special thanks to Cheese Cake (Darryl) for his awesome 'Bioshock Dude' (we refer to him affectionately as 'BD') model. The model is fully animated and is now included in the list of characters in TGC Heroes. I grabbed a pic of BD in action, while he was putting the hurt on Tikatta. The model was absolutely the easiest I have seen to work with and animate.

Thanks again to Cheese Cake (btw Darryl, you don't have any more characters we could use do you? )

I see LEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with the doctor about the camera, as you're imitating Smash Bros, which has a camera that adjusts with the charaters on both x and y. Your camera seemed to do this in the vid though, so I'm guessing the fight had just gone from everyone far away to close togeather, and the camera was still catching up. If the camera can't zoom up close until say the last two characters could possibly fill the entire screen though, I'd saymake it able to do that. I also agree about the large character %s and pictures. I'd say they should be 3/4 or 1/2 their current size and still have the smash feel.

@ Dr. Manette
Thanks for the comments btw your avatar (as well as Bizar's) are used in Frantic Forum (the arena pictured). The avatars randomly cycle on the faces of the four 'files' every few seconds.

Bizar Guy
It is Lee, but the textures are temporary. Satchmo made the model and I animated him, but Satchmo is still working on his final textures. I couldn't wait to get him in the game, so I just made up some so I could use him. It was only by chance the computer selected him as an AI opponent.

I agree with the camera issue and re-sizing the icons/percentages, although I think 1/2 size would maybe be a little too small, so I'll try for 3/4. The camera does move in and out based upon where the players are; I just had it set back a little too far in the first place.

Thanks for the feedback

Guys, I do have one small suggestion. Everything else looks great

The stats at the bottom are quite difficult to differentiate from the game. Maybe put a transparent colored box behind it?

That's awesome.

Everything sounds good.

I agree it's a problem, but that would be a pretty sloppy solution. A good way to do it is with nice clear-cut outlines on the text, and sharp boarders on the transparent pictures.

Edit: Though honestly, I think the charater profiles are fine, it's more the %'s lacking outlines.

I think the lighting needs to be disabled on one or two objects. It looks a bit too dark.

You guys can use my avatar in the forum level if you want to seeing as I have an original homemade one now

Or better yet, make my tennis ball dude an item or even a playable character - though he's not in any DBP games...

As far as using him as a character goes, we have Nutt already, and your tennis ball dude would be somewhat of a duplication of him. However, we might be able to use him to deliver items. I see him bouncing in from the side with a bowling pin (for example) on his back; he drops it off and bounces away. Maybe his eyes could bug out when he hits the ground when he has something on his back. I think it would be funny. Do you have an actual model/texture?

How about a useless item? In SSB, you have a sort of pluche thing that does no damage but is fun to throw around. We could use it as that, and use it for item throw testing.

No unfortunately he's only a 2d image in Photoshop. He won't be hard to make though, he's only what, 3 spheres and a tennis ball texture?

I like the idea of him carrying items in, that's pretty cool

Hmm, that guy would make a pretty cool character. Maybe like, two other small tennis balls follow him and he uses them to attack? Idk, just a thought. An item would work well too.

I posted a few ideas on your forum for characters/level from BioFox Games. Just a heads up.

Yeah, I know, but we have quite a modeling/animating workload already and it would have been nice if it was already done. Still, no biggie.

Cian Rice
It is a challenge to creatively hold a sword or kick somebody when you don't have any arms or legs. I suppose we could put arms and legs on the little guy (we do have a Cheeseburger that has them, why not a tennis ball?) Heck, we could put a tennis racquet in his hand and have him whack opponents with it.

Dr. Manette
I checked out what you had posted on our forum. Thanks so much! We have everything presently under consideration. I did have some questions/requests for you.

I'm going to guess that the game ends with a boss battle against Bl1t2 B451C. What an awesome ending that would be.
