efxMod is based on the 1.07 Version of FPSC, because that was the latest release of the SourceCode.

So there is no efxMod Version, which will work 100% with the latest version of FPSC!

I'm from Germany so don't say something about my English! Otherwise i will be a bit angry!^^

It has something to do with the 1.07 source I think, it always happens when it lag to much, so I fall through the floor...41 enemy's does make it lag a bit lol .

It's because you're using 1.09

You just ignored any information - the website, the readme... even this thread!

Sorry - if you don't read, that you have to use FPSC 1.07 / 1.08: NO SUPPORT

I can't heard any sound, some piece of the pavement are disappeared and some enemies too.

What can I do?
I have a bug with FPSC and I can't install 1.07.

Sorry for my very bad english,

normally there are no bugs with efxMod under FPSC 1.08!

I use efxMod with version 1.08 and it just work fine.

so maybe you can try to reinstall FPSC and try it again

You can´t save the options in the efx menu. You have to use Skripts and Triggerzones (I think someone had released some Skripts in the "FPSC Scripts" Forum)

I think NH will integrate a Save funtion in the next Version.

Have two different installs of FPSC on your computer. It's easy... Just install EfxMod, get it working and whatnot, then rename your FPS Creator folder to something like "FPS Creator for EFX". Now reinstall FPSC into the default folder name that isn't being used anymore and update that to the latest version.

Now you have a version that you can use efx with and a version that has the latest store.

@Bloodhound:

Considering your circumstances, here's an idea:

You're a programmer, right? I'm making that assumption due to you have both VB.Net and DBP, as well as working on a Mod for FPSC.

Make yourself a program in VB that you can use to swap out FPSC-Game executables. Leave it running, click a button to have it auto-rename everything correctly. It's not that hard and wouldn't take much effort on a programmer's part.

Being a computer junky yourself, I'm sure you can work out why efx is not wanting to cooperate with the V1.09 editor whereas other people have been successful with it.

Those are your options. Without the source to the editor, there is nothing Nighthawk or anyone else less than Lee can do for you as far as incompatibilities with the Editor.

So, here actual information from the efxMod 1.6 development

Actual (internal InDev) Version: 1.6.0-0104

http://img.helixsoftware.eu/efx/titan/001.jpg
http://img.helixsoftware.eu/efx/titan/002.jpg
http://img.helixsoftware.eu/efx/titan/003.jpg
http://img.helixsoftware.eu/efx/titan/004.jpg
http://img.helixsoftware.eu/efx/titan/005.jpg
http://img.helixsoftware.eu/efx/titan/006.jpg

So, what happended in the last few days? (efxMod Development was paused in the last weeks before)

- Rendersystem re-done (Performance Improvement ca. 1-3 FPS)
- cleaned up code (Performance Improvement up to 10 FPS!)
- Bloom Autofocus re-enabled and re-done
- GUI uses now the timersystem (e.g. for Inc/Dec Water Height)
- FOV-Change added (GUI & new Scriptcommand)
- Standard-FOV now 80, no longer 75, as before
- Bugfixes
- Compatibility Check - a routine, that checks for hardware compatibility
- new Bloomshader (Multi-Pass Bloom Version 3 - made by Helix Software, as always )

These are just some things from the last few days, there were so many things added before that I can't tell you all the new features.

Till the efxMod 1.6 Release, things will change, I think, we'll be adding so many new features.
(The next step is the Profile Management System with Script Export)

Is it the same TGC shadowmaps overlaid over everything, or is it the regular rendering like in every other game and does away with the massive bloat of those lightmap textures.

Also how can one uninstall efx, I want to use lemur for a multiplayer game Im building, so need to uninstall efx while I work on that project.

just download this dll and put it into your system32 folder!

there is maybe another dll you have to download but than it should work perfectly.

i use efx with FPSC v1.07/v1.08/v1.09 without any problems!

have you reinstalled your FPSC before you`ve added the Mod?

because there can be some problems using efx without a new installation. maybe this will fix the problem!

and btw. Model Pack 6 works perfectly for me with efx!

that question has been asked very often.

you have to put in trigger zones and change the script to one of the new scripts in the folder "scriptbank\efx"

and add the number in the "if used" field

for example the blur_brightness you can add a value off 0.20 inside the box!

i hope this will help you

just try it,

i think because the script has the name "disable" you have to add 1 but i'am not sure!

thats because the IfUsed parameter sets what other item to activate when you use that item.

not, if you use a efxMod Script, the "IfUsed" Field is used as an easier type of passing values to the engine (was the first time a mod enabled a feature like this! )
