Yeah...'cause I've tried just about everything. 'Tis a shame, it looked REALLY beautiful when it worked. If I find a workaround, I'll let you guys know. Thanks for all your help!

My apologies for a double post...

I've still made no progress with the water problem. I'm really disappointed, my sewers just aren't complete without murky green water.

Is there any way to download version 1.5? I don't recall that version having this problem with it.

Nope, 1.5 is discontinued and unsupported (like the 1.6), distribution is also not allowed.

If you read what happened a page or two before this, someone on the forums used the mod against the license (selling the game, even though efxMOD is non-commercial).

That's kind of depressing Nighthawk; efxMod was really cool. I never used it, but I really did like how it made stuff look.

If A=B and B=C, are people still stupid?

thats not our fault that it is not available at the moment. sure we have locked the page and there is no legal way to get efxMod. so you have to wait until we reopen the page.

Hmmm... that sounds an awful lot like it is your fault. I mean, who else could lock the website down?

I think he means they did so because of Reza igi's actions, and even then they tried to work with him so they didnt have to do this

I still maintain v1.54c worked best for me. It didn't have any rendering issues with the water and worked better when using shaders on objects.

As far as taking the website down, can't really understand it. Lots of people will be missing out.

the website doesnt let you download the free version. maybe they should just change the licence and make the free version have all of the stuff except advanced fog, bloom, water,(etc.) Or some people should listen for once!!!!

I'm gunna cry...

Well I do hope this gets revived in some way or another. I'm not going to be annoying, I'm only going to say, Nighthawk, I and very many of people on this forum respected your hard work, I am very sorry that a select few of pri--...people have canceled this amazing piece of work. This is truly a beautiful piece of software that lets stupid code retarded people like me make amazing looking games with some slides of a ticker.

Rest in peace EFX Mod, rest in peace...

you are able to buy it, just write Nighthawk an email and show him for what game you want to use efxMod. After you have done this, he and I will see if you get the license or not.

I think the thread's still open because we're waiting for an official announcement from Nighthawk (as he said a few pages back) If he announces that efx is out of development permanently() then it'll be locked. If it's back into development () then it's be left as it is and everyone will rejoice!

I was trying to use EFX Mod, but I could because I didn't have the computer to run it fast. But as soon as I get the computer strong enough to run the EFX Mod, thats when this happens.

I am very sad at the moment.

If we already have EFX, are we allowed to release non-comm' demos? I made a nice little one for a play-around with it, and I feel sad that it's sitting on my HD disused...

Not a lot, but more than some people are willing to pay.

Just as a side note, why has this topic been reopened? I'm thinking it might preceed an announcement on efx..

Over 100 signs on the petition. Does anyone else find this unfair? 1 person broke the rules. 100+ people are paying for it. Now I understand the rule clear as day. Not for use in commercial games. Period. I just hope Nighthawk understands the number of people he is effecting.

Slightly transparent.

FPSC Tools

As a side note; until the creators of this Mod decide to "allow" developers to use it, I see no reason to leave this open.

Contact me by e-mail when you are either ready to unlock this, or simply start another thread. Until then; I suggest users to browse the other Mods that are available for use.
