Just a question... why are you using a WIDESCREEN 16:10 30" MONITOR with a 4:3 resolution of 1280x1024 ?

It's a pretty good framerate for a Geforce 8400GS...

Very nice.
Im currently putting togather my new rig and im still waiting for my cpu and motherboard. But, my 8800GT Overclock edition arrived few days ago and I replaced my brother pc 7600 GT with it.

So the test system was :
2gb ddr2 ram
amd athlon 64 x2 3800+ @ 2Ghz
MSI 8800GT OC edition 512mb 256bit
Windows XP Pro

Resolution - 1280x1024

Everything worked pretty smoothly and nice, I did see some glitches near the refraction window segments.
40-60 FPS. I had antialiasing set to 4x and anistropic filtering 8x from driver settings.

Omg. I don't know why, but my GeForce 8800 GT gave me 87 fps... o.0.
Is that a high frame rate for this rig? (Q6600 Quad-Core too... )

@ Jeffhuys
Is your gfx card also overclocked or running on stock nvidia settings ?

Cheap ddr2 ram and cpu might slow it down I think.

Gpu: Not overclocked.
Cpu: Core 2 Quad Q6600
Ram: Brand forgotten , DDR2-1066.

FPS: Peak 121!!! I'm happy as hell!

BTW: I can play crysis on very high (hacked using XConfig) with 15 fps steady. Somethings wrong... But it turns out OK for me

I must give a big congrats to the Dev team for EFX. Not practical for normal users to run games like this, but it sure is fun for playing around with! I feel like an X10 owner minus the ragdoll and water splash effects. My specs:

Nvidia 7800GT 256MB
2GB of RAM
200GB hard-drive
2.4GHz AMD 64 +3800 Athlon CPU
300W Power Supply.

So, in no ways a horrible PC, but certainly not a top-a-the line super nerd PC Can run Crysis on Low well, Medium, ok with slow spots, high horribly.

I got a nice 46 average FPS, some low spots down to 17 and high's up to 52. Took some screenies too. Found a glitch I may report later if I can figure out whether it's intended or not

FPS never dropped below 75 for me, averaging 90 and spiking around 120. I must say superb work on the part of you and your team.

Specs:
Nvidia 8800 GTS 640 MB
Quad Core (2.4 Ghz Each - I think)
2 GB of Memory
and all the other things that make a computer...

Anyways, great work. It really felt more like a professional engine than FPSC normally does. Since Ply's mod is on hold I'll probably be using this once you get AirMod 0.6 in it (after I release it )

I ran the demo with a steady FPS of between 70-90.
My specs are;
Core 2 Duo, 2.33 GHz
ASUS GeForce 8800 GTS Ultra (640MB edition)
2GB DDR2-RAM

By the way, how do I access the control panel? I haven't really used EFX before, sorry about the noob-question. xD

Hehe, didn't realize you could change the quality. I get about 80-100 fps on quality 3, and 60 fps (lowest: 45 highest: 68) on quality 5. Quality 6 drops down to 20 fps though.

first: you have to use FPSC v1.07
second: you have to use efxMod like the normal EXE (just Test Game over the editor)
what's so difficult in replacing a file namend "FPSC-Game.exe" with a file named "FPSC-Game.exe" and using your FPSC as you normally do?

*shakes his head inappreciatively*

I had some fun toying around with the effects settings. I had a steady framerate of around 90 fps on quality levels 1-4. Levels 5 and 6 took a bit more computer power though. Don't remember what sort of framerates I got but they were lower.

Anyhow, I encountered some strange bugs with the physics. When I threw objects, or barrels more exactly, they flew away long distances, and when they bumped into an obstacle, they started jumping up and down like crazy. This was above water, btw. Do you know what the problem might be?

The reason is by your Pc System the Graficscard...I think so.
Pentium 4, also longer is not the best.
In addition comes you using the FPSC Version 1.09...efx based on 1.07 Source...

Enough causes...

and d/led efx the latest one out xD.

takes this much before frame rate starts to get slowed down for me.
the screeny has 5 different layers, you cant tell, but its really big!
and i have like an x600radeon 256mb

efxMod 1.5 is out since a few months now, 1.4 is unsupported and old.
efxMod 1.55/1.56 is the coming-up version, but we think about not-releasing it, because efxMod 1.6 is ready, very soon.

Yeah, I'd rather wait for 1.6. I sound like I'm requesting too much, but is there any way you can make the changes in the map during test game like...save with the level .fpm, so there's less "cleaning up to do" with a build game?
