hey lee is there away to cap the framerate at 60 because i notice on testrun you can press x the framerate gos up. if not it would be nice to have that in the 115 update. that would be a big improvement being that 3d games are suppose to have 60 frames per second.

Until it becomes timer based, we can't change the fps cap, because the game itself would speed up...

The timer based games will be a vast improvement. So far this update looks pretty good.

To Dan the man: If you look at my avatar you will notice that it is a little different. LOL!!

In beta three can you make it able to film in game cutscenes with the hud and without the hud? And take pictures? Like FPSCX10?

I can't texture. I'm not an artist.

In test game you can... one of the F keys (can't remember which off the top of my head) turns off the HUD.

If you are talking about in a build why don't you just delete the hud before you build the exe?

I am NOT talking about removing the hud. I want to film the test game for a cutscene like FPSCX10

BETA3 uploaded. If you found BETA2 fine, this should not change the functionality but if you want to check it out that would be good. I lost a few of the BETA2 changes so repeated the work and re-uploaded. Also some feedback questions and answers from the thread:

Q> Is 20+ level loading fixable before the migration version?
A> First ensure the exact same project and settings build fine with V114 then install V115 and find the crash. You then need to upload ALL media which will allow me to reproduce the bug and email me at lee@thegamecreators.com

Q> Why are my prefab items messed up?
A> We suggest you re-install FPS Creator, taking care to back-up your work and other files.

Q> I am experiencing slow build times, what can I do?
A> Send a level that uses default media and a step by step to lee@thegamecreators.com explaining the problem. Ensure the level builds faster with the same settings in V114 than it does in V115 as this is a V115 specific thread.

Q> Can you add feature X before the migration?
A> There are no plans to add any new features to FPS Creator X9 at this time, just stability updates

I drink tea, and in my spare time I write software.

@SanXL

Are you saying that the music you used for the title page continues to play as the background music for the game?

I don't happen to have this problem so it must be how you have set the parameters up using the build game wizard. To me the wizard is not very easy to use. Again since I don't have this problem I'm not sure I can help without more info.

@SanXL

Regardless of what you have I don't believe it is a bug of this version.

Look in the setuplevel.fpi of your game. If you are not sure where it is then I'll be more specific. This file is in two different locations - one for the test level and one for your stand-alone game.

Check to see if you have this line. Should be about the 6th line.

:state=0:music=audiobank\music\your music,musicvolume=-75,soundscale=15

Is this the Title Page music as well? I suspect that only because it is playing this music in the test level. The only way that can happen is the setuplevel.fpi has the music command pointing to the song you are using for the title page. There is a titlepage.fpi for the stand-alone game which has a separate music command.

Thank you for your tip. and i found this in setuplevel.fpi

:state=0:music=audiobank\SanXL\AAAHORROR1san.wav,musicvolume=50,
soundscale=25

AAHORROR1san.wav is the one i use for the titelpage.(you were right)

what now? do i remove this line or give it the same settings you did in your post above?

You can delete the line. or everything after music= however, you will not have any background music in your game at all. What you need to do is find another sound file you would like to be for the background music in your game and point it to that file.
