Works perfect for me and also getting 50 to 60 fps with 15 enemies and full shaders on. Ragdoll is great! Cant wait for full release now.

In this new beta im getting constant 60fps.

That ragdoll script doesn't work for me, so i'll use the one I kept using before.

whats with that horrible light glare? i dont think i like the glare effect ragdoll dont work,i got 57fps and average about 47fps which is a lot better,i hope the official release is a lot better than this though as i dont think the wait was worth it at the mo;(

Hmmm... I don't have a setting for shaders. The spot where it is in V_116 is just blank...

Let me explain.First of all.Ragdolls will work best if your enemy is near a WALL SEGMENT,STAIRS, etc.If you shoot an enemy on empty ground , he'll fall like by default without ragdolls.Unless you shoot him in the stomache area or legs.

Shots to the head and chest on empty ground will make a retarded ragdoll animation.(atleast from experience thats what I saw)

I might make a video later on.

EDIT - Ignore the script I gave you above.I copied the wrong one.Lol...8 in the morning can be a hell of a influence...

Ragdoll works best if you remove the death animation frames from the .fpe: credit to Rolfy for these instructions:

Hey... I just have to ask, is there a possiblity to adjust bloom? And is there water?
Since I've tried pushing every button like crazy and nothing happens...
Otherwise everything works awesomely! Though, I have lower fps than with 1.16... I mean, with 1.16 and Fenix Mod, I had usually 60 fps, but with 1.17, I get 40... Hmmm...

The v1.17 beta is superb. I'm getting constant 60 frames per second with dark ai enemies, ragdoll and shaders / post processing on.

To adjust bloom you need to edit the 'post-bloom.fx' file in effectbank/ps_2_0. Change the bloom scale and bloom power values as required.

Ragdoll is working well for me. Even the deaths when they are not falling on the environment look better than the old animations.

I was expecting this update it to water, we hope that comes soon, because a good program like this without water loses everything ..

as it reduces that 'effect of light is in the game?

I do not know exactly where to put his hand in that file, and values that change to decrease the effect

But AO is too far; Grand Theft Auto and Call of Duty are Mature, not Adult Only, and they contain adult content and ragdoll.

Just read that some people are getting bad lag, to fix it just press X if you havn't, FPSC uses a sync rate of 30 but you can change it to 60 by pressing it

Anyway to make the ally AI to start as an ally? Without the whole Press G to Recruit the Ally. Can't they just BE an ally? Like in X10 or any other game

EDIT: Sorry, my mistake. It does attack on its own. I just used the wrong appear script.

Cool. I noticed that they do some fisty cuff stuff as well between the friendlies and enemy. Wow. The player didn't even have to get involved. Although that's cool I don't know how the human player will feel about that. All he has to do is stand there and let the others fight his battles. Of course if he loses all of his allies then he will be totally on his own.

Did i read somwhere that the update will allow you to build the game as either DX9 or DX10...?
And whats the compatabilty gonna be like with windows 7 as i'm thinking of upgrading to that, i know i can install DX9c but obviously Win 7 comes with DX11.

dx has nothing to do with FPSC.
you just have to install dx9 (in the newest version) and everything will work like you are using WinXP ;D

Yes, yes. But I can't quite grasp what Lee means by saying ragdoll as an official update wouldn't serve the rating well.

I setup that map to demonstrate team AI and gave my team mates lots of health. If you only have 1 allie or normal health with multiple enemies its a lot harder.

If you are playing against multiple enemies alone the AI is scarily good compared with the old FPSC AI.

What AI scripts did you use for that video? I'm not sure which ones to use...

And how do you turn shader effects on? (Not the full-screen, just the normal shaders).

I have windows 7 and it did the same thing. I looked at the properties for each of the exe files that are required. They were running as Administrator so that wasn't the problem. However, they were running in compatibility mode for XP. I unchecked the compatibility mode and it works fine.

I think in terms of framerates, and the running of the editor, everything is pretty smooth sailing.

However, I would like to ask whether bloom, lighting, and water effects could be changed in the test game itself, as it becomes very very tedious to go back and forth between test game and editor to see how it looks.

uh..no you don't..

Remove the shoot script and just add to entity main script Dark AI\main-weapon.fpi (or main-melee.fpi).And as appear - appear-enemy-team2.fpi

adjusting the values of the numbers before the f; in both sections of BloomScale and BloomPower will change the bloom. I would keep a copy of the original shader.

Water not finished yet, I far I as know.

I downloaded beta2 but I am afraid to install it on this computer.
After seeing those videos though, I am almost willing to risk having to rebuild levels from scratch.

I noticed there was no ReadMe file in the zip.
Are the system specs the same as before?
Will this run on a Netbook with a 1.6ghz Atom processor?

Out of curiousity, did they add or talk about adding player character models in v1.17? Like in Fenix Mod or multiplayer? Just wanna know if that idea is even on the table yet xP
