The way I see it, X9 AND X10 users have the advantage of focusing on the level design and custom media while people like me are busy wasting time trying to find an obscure and rarely referenced piece of code that Lee buried in the massive heap that composes the FPSC source code

I hate to say it, but official FPSC users also have the benefit of a generally more stable engine... that and they all have the same person to yell at when something doesn't go right, lol.

The Next, how many points is 3 sterling worth? (May have that sign mixed up) I read somewhere that TGC will not allow transfering of less then 500 points.

Good luck with the comp, and good luck to everyone entering.

I will try to see if i can create a level within the criteria...
you can probably count me in... I think...
I started a level of a game yesterday. I think that it is a winner.
Can I use it, i started without knowing that there was a contest.
Will the games be seen by everyone? if so i will not enter.

Are the non-modded X9 users going to have a handicap or something, because by the sounds of Airslide etc. I don't think any un-modded game will work against the modded ones and X10 .

No as we talked about before and has been popular opinion if you are not using a mod you can still make a great game.

Quote: "The Next, how many points is 3 sterling worth?(May have that sign mixed up) I read somewhere that TGC will not allow transfering of less then 500 points."

Ah you all dont know yet(except FCV), so i will explain to everyone about what this means. As a community effort the users at http://fpsc-online.com/ have setup an online store for anyone with FPSC to sell their media, as it is a community effort the sellers of media get to keep nearly all of the money earned except what we need to actually run the site (very little). So while i have been running the forum and updating all the themes and so on uthink has been making the store and setting it all up.

We dont use points we just use plain money and with one model being around £0.15-£0.40 (not for weapons and characters they are a little more. You get quite a few for £3. We already have a few sellers that are going to be added as soon as the store is launched one of which being Strelok/oleg.

The store will be opening soon, also if anyone was interested in being a seller of media pop me an email of what your stuff is like. Same with beta testers we may be in need of beta testers soon so if interested in that you can get into the program if you are a member of FPSC-online.

Hope that all makes sense.

Also to The FPS Creator Rocks i heard you had issues signing up at the forum if this is still persisting then send me and email with the username you signed up with and i will accept your account for you.

If you are still looking for Prizes The Next, I could contribute something for 1st and 2nd place. I could make a custom piece of music for the user based on his own personal requirements. So basically, the user can give me (in as much detail as they like) a specification for the sort of track they want and I will make it for them.

Sound decent? If not, then that's ok. Good luck with the contest.

How does this sound for my entry?
You are a highly trained (i hope) delta force operative. It doesnt take much to kill or be killed. I am working on level 1, i have the basic design out, but i will add a lot more to it such as objectives.

I think I'll drop out of this before I get too much of it done and feel that's it's all been a waste of time. At the very least, I don't want my work to be judged by someone who has lost heart for the software and the community.

Best of luck with your future endeavors.

would an intro level count as a level? say you have an event happen that renders the scene to a different level with some of the same parts? e.g a blackout or something like that? (without scripting)

ADD ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I almost fainted when you said you were giving away EAI's model if you just enter!! Uh... Wait, is the GCS... um... (n00b question!!) What exactly is the GCS? Isn't it that one gun EAI made? And if it is, it works with X10, right? Is it OK if we have no ragdoll, no help from extra stuff (mods, model packs etc.), and only use the things that come with FPSC X10??

@PW Productions Manager

What djmaster said GCS is the name for the store in FPS Creator also known as TGC store. Also in answer to other question you may use any version of FPSC at all you can use it entirely stock if you wish.

Thanks, my mind was kind of blank yesterday. I forgot that GCS meant Game Creator Store. So, let me get this straight. You get to pick ANY of EAI's guns from the GCS? Are you serious?!?!?!? Also, about the gun... Do all of EAI's weapons work with X10? There's been a lot of confusion lately.

I'm thinking about joining... so go ahead and add me down.
Hopefully I can finish this one.

Also, what do you mean by modern day? You could classify that the
modern times we have now started some time after World War 2.
How exactly are you defining, MODERN?

Ya, I'd like to know that too. I still haven't come to a solid idea for my entry but some I've tossed around would have to take place in the 80's (or just say the Soviet Union never fell, which I guess works).

Definition of modern for this contest will be:

In the time frame of 1980 - 2020 will be accepted. This all depends on the judges opinion if media in the game would be found within the time frame.

hope that makes sense to you all.
