Ill have you know I'm working extremely hard on this but it ain't no walk in the part. Dbp automatically turns off the entities collision when it is positioned over and over. This means i had to give the entity the players camera collision and i now have to figure out a way to get collision for the camera. (A LOT easier said then done.)

This MOD is working great

One thing though, when I create a multiplayer map and play it with my friend it works fine but when we use iron sights your gun is a one shot kill. Any idea why this is happening?

Y know, PLAYERSPEED does not work.
There was some other bug, cant remember it right now but will post if i do.
Also, could you slow the decals please?

Hmm, thats strange, the script doesnt work for me!!?? I'll DL the latest beta if i dont have it.
Also, Are you planning to make better third-person? There are a lot of bugs, I can name a few if you dont know about them.

O.k., get ready!!

Bugs:

1. If i move the mouse DOWN, the guy starts sinking through the floor, 'til he is halfway through.

2. When you crouch, the guy goes completely off screen.

3. when i press, like w&d at the same time, he slides.

4. When you turn, he slides. He needs to animate in some way or the other, and turn slower.


And the good news.
I am making the script better, one thing i am doing is locking the y axis.

Already know of this.

This was fixed in the new beta.

No the characters don't actually shoot the gun, Nikas makes it work by making the gun the player picks up invisible (transparent) and then you have a fully working shooting system.

That would be a workaround but what about switching? Cant fix that,you must fix it.

Oh well.
Is the new one gonna have the camera collide with segments? another words not go through them?
Because I eventually had to move the camera closer in mine and disable the y axis.

Well since you asked then its time for an announcement.

Update
3rd person camera collision

3rd person now has camera collision ,no more going through walls. Video later tonight or tomorrow, still has some bugs that will need to be worked out so expect the next beta in maybe a week 2 tops (or a few days).

I found a bug. In multi-player, when you use iron sights you can kill the other player regardless of the weapons strength.

Ah this would be Lee's "Special zoom kill" for some reason he made it so if your zooming with a weapon its a 1 shot kill. Ill fix this when i get home later.

small update.

Fixed bug causing one shot kills in multi player. (untested but should work)

added new command

explode - makes the entity with this command in its script to activate its explosion (thanks to flatlander)

The explosion was designed (hard coded) for small objects and for characters. It is also done at a ground level perspective, although, the explosion can take place in the layer the entity is placed. However, the perspective of the explosion will not seem right when it is in a layer above the player and the player is looking up at the time of the explosion.

I suppose there would be a way to programmatically cause the explosion to be larger. One would have to have one or more commands that sets certain variables that would be used for the size of the explosion. Or perhaps there could be a "multiplier" parameter along with the command; explosion=2 would make the explosion twice as big and so on.
