Yeah...I guess thats the problem of having a popular mod. So many new people are referred here...And then they say "Oh, I'm sure I don't need this folder..." And therefore Hockeykid is plagued by people with simple problems. However, then people like Gamer X come who simply overlooked something a bit harder...But still simple.

All in all, sorry Hockeykid, I guess you'll have to deal with imaginary bugs for a time to come.

Well, it is rare for me to overlook something. When I do over look something and think it is a bug in the program, I try everything I can think of to do before I actually report something.

On a side note, I still think that reinstalling FPSC should have fixed it especially seeing how I download Fenix a 2nd time to ensure my current Download wasn't corrupt by some strange reason. At least everything is alright for now.

Yeah...But it was still a simple fix. Maybe the settings were saved in cookies? I don't know... Hmmm....

I really hope Project Green gets added to this, because of all the new scripting commands...

where is hockeykid? I want him to hear my plea about uncapping bloom.

also, I think these new scripting commands would be a great edition.

addfreeally- adds an ally that partols the whole map and shoots enemies. ally does not follow you.

addsmartenemy- an enemy that spawns knowing where you are and will walk right to where you are until it OFFICIALLY sees you, then it stops and fights.

jumpdist=x- changes the jumping distance.

newhurtfall=x changes the player hurtfall.

enemyrange=x changes the distance the enemy can be from you to still engage (this would work if the player was seen, but still 100 meters away and you didn't want the enemy to engage until X meters away. otherwise the enemy would automatically engage no matter how far away the player was.

and darkAI being able to traverse terrain. I think these would be nice editions. I've got to say, FPSC is becoming more and more capable because of mods like this.

also, I have a question. Horror mod has a limb mutation system. can this be used for ragdoll physics?

Whats the status of the crash when building a simple test level? Will this be fixed or will it not? I really just want it for the Horror Mod. I paid for it and now I can't use it........ oh well

Same as most others, get a default message about a screenshot and fpm level

other than the odd frame rate caps, I found a bug! if you save your changed horror mod settings, and then move and jump, you'll get stuck moving one direction and can't jump.

Hi,

I have a problem that I don´t know if it´s Fenix related or not, but since wayne davis rocks mentions the same problem a few posts back I might as well tell about it.
It´s hard to describe in few words, especially in a foreign language, so please excuse a somewhat long post.

I use FPSC 9, version 1.16018 with Fenix 1.1 and everything has been working just fine for a week or two, or at least that´s how I remember it.
Then I found a thread (http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=162763&b=23) about the command fpgcrawtext which I wanted to try out.
So, I gave a stock entity (dynamic, physics on) this script (the text is in Swedish and basically, and somewhat ironically when considering what happened next, tells the player to use the right mouse button to lift and drop objects).

The message displays correctly, then I lift the cardboardbox and throw it away. But when I walk up to the box again I can no longer lift it. Not with right click and not with T. I can still kick the box around on the floor though.

I close FPSC and run the cleaner, and try again. Just a prefab room with one small cardboard box, this time without the rawtext command (just the standard default.fpi) and the same thing happens. I can lift it the first time, but not put it down, only throw it, and after that I can´t pick it up again. I can however still kick it around on the floor. I´ve tried with different small entities (all dynamic with physics turned on) with the same result.

So, I reinstall the original 1.16018 exe-file, and now I can lift and put down objects like there was no tomorrow.
I install Fenix 1.0 exe, and it works fine then too. But when I try Fenix 1.1 again, I can only, at best, lift one object once.

I´m a little curious as to what could cause this strange behaviour. Could that script really be the cause?
My computer specs are:

Intel Core Duo 3,00 GHz
RAM: 4 GB
Windows Vista 32 bit
Nvidia Geforce 9800 GTX

Open up the test game menu, and then close it. You won't be frozen anymore. Trust me. I've done that a lot of times.

I have been learning around with this very nice mod and everything works as expected, except the speed! I am having problems using bloom, the fps drops a LOT. My computer is quite powerful and with other mods, like the EFX, with all the bells and whistles I can have 150fps! Any clues?

As previously stated, the bloom isn't great but it's bloom. So, yeah it'll be weird.

bloom IS great, but hockeykid capped it at 20 FPS. if he REMOVES the cap, or INCREASES it to 40, then bloom will work fine, like usual. I vote this mod gets re-capped at 60 FPS.

@ freak of nature 64: Thank you!
That code was my, perhaps misguided, attempt to only display the message once.
However, the problem isn´t really the code itself, but rather the fact that I can´t use right click in Fenix 1.1. It does work well in Fenix 1.0 and in unmodded FPSC.
I´m sorry if I wasn´t all clear about that.

There is in fact a Fenix Mod manual, it would be easier if you were to contribute to that.
