In this version 1.5 the quality of the lights are great, but not the ilumination have a problem with this, If up the resolution of cubic shadows or others the quality of the lights not the best, I modify the advanced lightthing line per line

It would be really cool if you could implement Headshots like in Horror Mod. Ragdoll would be cool as well.

I can add Headshots for My modification but I need talk with knxrb.
the ragdoll incorporation are no easy to add, In fps creator x9 Can support ragdolls for the characters.

This mod is pretty freaking good man! Im really impressed by all the detail! So correct me if im wrong, but it there only a test level and not a download so we can use it in our games? Im sorta confused.

You can use Xara mod on your games, for this you need create a map without static lights and you need use the example maps "gettingstarted01.fpm" or others.

Hi Kill3r7!
The xara mod is very good,but I have 2 problems.

First problem:

When I do a level,only with dynamic light,I dont see the map,only the sky

Second problem:

When I try to run my game ,I get an error:

Runtime Error 105 - File does not exist at line 34032

What I do wrong?

First problem:

Just try again and again!
Create a new map, just place the common ground, save the map, build it and try it again.

Second Problem:

You have to add all the needed folders into the files folder (Media and Shader!).
Kill3r7 has forgot to add them in the latest version.

And you need 2 or more dynamic lights, or the game not appear or the light not appear, you need use the examples .fpm maps for work, or the level NOT appear

I put everything to the files folder(Medai,shader,nonheight.tga and nonormal.tga)

The problem is in the Media,shader folders.I recopy the media,shader files to the files folder and now its works for me.

Added for characters and weapons Normal mapping, I work for apply Parallax Mapping.

LoD system with 30-40% more Performance.

Legs for the player.

And maybe more for comming.

(The weapons and characters NOT working now but I try and the effects are on characters, weapons and entitys Dynamic's)

A better LoD system sounds perfect, because this was something which never worked right!

Legs for player are a cool thing, as long as they have an animation and not like the one I used some time ago ^^

I dont know you error, I need try the mod with 2 levels for view and its not a bug its a problem

I recommend build a games WITH EFX MOD only because this create all textures dynamics and others, later put the folders and files from Corvus mod folder on Your files folder and Use the Xara modification exe

Isn't that a bit of a hassle for beginners?
I think, when you have a stable version, it would really benefit from having a (seperate?) page, with a download, including a manual/instructions how to use it. I say this because this have the potential to get BIG, maybe even HUGE!
If you add the headshot-head-removal from Horror Mod then i will download it, and even pay for it.
But the way it looks now, i hear more bugs then satisfied people.

Next to do:
-stable version
-download with instructions

Good luck mate, very nice pics, you should add at least a donate button, or if you wanted it to be free, consider charching at least $5,- or more. BUT, to charge money you need a stable version of course.

*EDIT* i understand that you're still working on this, i meant the final project should at least be stable, without having to create it in another mod like EFX, and then build in this one.

also there is already a Documentation for the old CorVus Mod and I dont think that a lot has changed on the way you have to use the Mod.
You can get it, by downloading the beta version of CorVus Mod on the Cranox Interactive Homepage!

question about xara mod:

after installation, i run test game and encounter a problem. Everything loads fine, until i click "ok" to test the level. The FPSC-Game.exe appears on my taskbar as usual, then crashes after about 5 to 7 seconds of (not responding). Any ideas? wat mistake do i seem to be making.

No Chops On low Fps with new Final Comp.fx.

Changed FOV of the Flash Light.

Color Realistic of the FlashLight.

This mod is clearly very powerful but I think you need to get the character and gun issues resolved now otherwise it will never be more than a graphics showcase.

I'm not sure how well this will be adopted given the unorthodox game building and other design considerations but its definately cool.

*sigh* if only one of these graphics mods would combine with a scripting mod such as Project Blue...unfortunatly I will never use/support a graphics mod no matter how powerful it is because of the gameplay possibilities through other scripting mods.

For Example NOW Xara mod is based on a modification for graphics only, The performance is improve to the most with my rendering system and others commands added by me, run the best at 280fps on a medium map on 1024x768 resolution, In 1920x1080 I have 130-160 fps on this Map. Is a demostration of the power of the engine fps creator, is old but with this is the best. I think the weapons not work because the fov of the camera and the universe is destroy. The Chars work but jump in the air because the universe is destroy.
