I laughed a bit at the whole buying character models when drunk-story.
But it's a good thing you did buy them, they add a bit of variety over the ordinary, model pack based ones. Besides, what would a fantasy game be without a couple of buxomly women in it? It certainly would appeal to a few less nerds, I believe.
(As I was typing, my wallpaper changed from the Fallout New Vegas vault girl pin-up one to one of Liara from Mass Effect, lol. Both respectably discrete and without nudity, of course. We nerds are gentlemen after all, right? )

Great works as always, Wolf! I can't wait to try this out, looks like it'll be great.

That screenshot with the green lighting and the skull in the wall... it took my breath away. So did the others, but that one for some reason is just... awesome.

PS: gotta love the images you put on the walls!

But... last game you make? I'm officially shocked, scared and sad, and of course FPSC is unofficially screwed.

Oh c'mon don't be sad Wolf said he's going to make 2 whole new episodes of this game, how awesome is that?

And who knows, maybe Wolf will come back some day and blow us away with something... even epiccer than this.

On the internet -.- Seriously dude! You could at least type please or "do you mind telling me" or anything less annoying than "where is FREE SPELL kit!?!!?" In this case I would have linked.

But since I'm such a nice guy today: Typing "Free Spell" in the searchbox will guide you to what you are looking for.

I never ment to come off like that. You see that is what happens in conversations over the web. Sorry about that. Just one thing you really shouldn't just assume I was being brat. It was more of a question. Now it is my fault that I didn't say "please", which I am sorry for, but you still shouldn't just assume I'm that kind of person.

Thank you...I'm a militant nonsmoker..

****************************

So, Sorry for the delay BUT I found out how to create most excellent normalmaps in Paint Shop (one program to rule 'em all...for 10 bucks a real catch).

Which means I will finish the last few unshaded characters now.

I also had an issue that all my levels where too bright...I'm looking forward to beta 10 fixing this now, which is the reason why I don't have any screenshots to show you.

*********************

I adobted the popular role playing game system on which a weapon will be better depending on the material it is made off...

that way I will have a lot of weapons and spells the player can find and switch other weapons with.

Each weapon/spell class has a different slot.

So...I updatet to beta 10 now...and I hope that I can build my levels now. I haven't tested it yet but well... just a little luck and I can show you guys some real screenshots soon.

Until then I will annoy you with some random character retextures

Random female Adepts.

A random Adept and 2 stills of a Legionaire... this one is an older veteran. The unnatural looking eyes are no bug. The normalmapping on the runes on his shoulders is something that really came out well.

A Legionaire, a Berserker from the deadswamp region and a ghûl (lesser demonic creature). I shall show you some Map Drawings I made a while ago. I tried to give Bond1's Grendel an a bit more "organic" look. I didn't really succeed though.

Humans posessed by powerful demons. The one in the mid will probably be my model for "Prince Cahed". I don't have any use yet for the reptilian eyed one.

Well...thats it for today! I hope I can provide some more interesting shots soon..

Sry, didn't know it would offend anyone. It was just a TF2 joke.

But ontopic again:
Quote: "that way I will have a lot of weapons and spells the player can find and switch other weapons with."

Oooh, coolio! Will definetly beat scrolling through 10 different weapons and magic and hopefully some day to run into the right one (that's if I understood what you said right)

Quote: "So...I updatet to beta 10 now"

So there's beta 10 now? Back to updating... :S

Looks cool, I like the one on the very right the best

The Grendel looks really good! But I don't know what you mean by organic, so it propably doesn't match you vision. But to me it looks good. And the bearded fella (that's Berserker right?) looks nice too!

Quote: "Humans posessed by powerful demons. The one in the mid will probably be my model for "Prince Cahed". I don't have any use yet for the reptilian eyed one."

So far my favourite characters! The one in the midel especially looks great! Good job!

Looking great once again wolf!
Its funny how 3 of the 3 Adepts are red-headed.

Just incase you are running into another spelling error, which is fine, because it adds uniqueness to your game;
Quote: "Random female Adebts"
.
I think you could mean Adepts
Quote: "An adept is an individual identified as having attained a specific level of knowledge, skill, or aptitude in doctrines relevant to a particular author or organization."

Just a heads up, but great work!
I love the last screen most

Its impressive how you turned the hood of the female into long hair. Especially the one with the brown hair is hardly recognizable. Good Job!

No, that wouldn't fit... but thanks for the idea.

******************************

This game is beyond the most timeconsuming thing I ever did on a computer.

The new storyline forces me to remake almost every map and add a lot more... that means that the game will have 25 levels instead of 15. The levels will be a lot less detailed aswell.

I also added my "overlaylightray" technique and more postprocessing to give the game a darker, dirtyer look.

I guess you people are more interested in screenshots. If there are any specific questions: ask away.

This is looking amazing, the new characters fit in extremely well.
The faces are a bit too shiny, but I love that Grendel retexture

The environments are great and are masterly detailed.
You are going beyond what many think is possible with FPSC!

Extremely well done Wolf!! I am speechless. But if I saw this in a gamestop or whatever store out there I would buy it. It is my type of game I like to play. I hope you make it a long game. I love the games that take me weeks of gameplay. Atleast more than an hour of gameplay.

Wolf, I hope that you don't encounter any serious issues with making 25 levels. It sounds like it could potentially mean trouble, being FPSC and all.

The most recent shots look great, but one thing; the characters' faces look way too shiny, like they're made of plastic.

No...but its actually not a that bad idea

To everyone who thinks the characters faces look like plastic/too artificial: Sorry, they will most likely look like this in the final version. It could be that I find out a new way to shade them or something but I wouldn't bet on it.

These screens are some of the most amazing i've ever seen from FPSC wolf, well done. You're making me want to just throw down my current WarTorn MP and just start making media for you! I do have to finish my pack though...
So i'm going to work hard on finishing the pack so I can start helping you create this legenday game.
(I can make or do anything except animations and rigging.)
I may also be able to help you with your shading problem too.

You wolf have certainly set the bar high and I can't wait to see what else you come up with.

Estimated Release Date : -EDIT: Scratch that! I have to redo the dungeons again :S FPSC doesn't like Relict.

I'm also crafting on the Shavra Remake (finally) and will open a separate Thread for that soon.

So the release date is...this summer...some day I just want to get it done before the skyrim release because otherwise noone would even bother starting to play my game

Double post

To be honest, the last couple of evenings I've been sitting around doing mostly nothing. I made only a bit here and there and most of it for the Shavra Remake.

I started to create a few weapontextures for different materials. I'm not yet happy with these which is why I can't post any of them yet.

All I can share with you are screenshots of a simple Hallway I made yesterday. It is just a hallway but I felt that I have to update this thread

That black thing is actually a pretty green bambus..I hope that this issue will be sorted out in the 1.18 Final.

I like this one I noticed the similarity of the bust and the painting in the test build... now I have to make up some story about it

Feel free to comment... I hope I can show you people some more interesting stuff later this week

A buildings architecture follows a patern. You don't find 2 completely different hallways in one and the same abbey (or bank, church, etc.)

I try to vary as much as the design of the abbey allows me though
