Here's something else I made when I was just messing around. It's meant to be a basement or something like that:

Yeah good point - I have changed it about a bit since and I think it looks better now.

Here's a shot of a work in progress (My apologies for the roof texture which doesn't tile very well - it will be replaced)

EFX, what you need to work on now is creating an environment in which the parts work together to create an overall flow and purpose. This is more difficult than designing isolated pieces, and is the last hurdle to overcome before becoming a really good mapper. It's something I myself have no had time to learn.

Been Super busy the last few weeks with work. But got some time today (it's ACC family day, and I'm single, so that means a day to myself) to work on something new. This isn't really leading anywhere, but it's still good practice.

These are the beginnings of a Medical Building (heavly fortified, so probably a military site).

This pic is non-light-mapped. Just to give you an idea of the shape of the building (bunker-style, rounded at the ends):

Here's the front door, with the medic cross:

And, the next two are different shot of the front of the building lit up at night:

I'll post more pics when the interior has more to it (right now, all it's got inside are the room outlines, no actual interior to speak of).

YAY

All of these, even the simple ones, are destructively beautiful.

Why haven't any of them appeared in any games yet?

Does Cshop export to BSP only, or does it do other file types?

It CAN'T export to BSP. It exports as .B3D, .X and .MAP as standard.
But you can get a text entity exporter (.txt) and a Gile[s] exporter(.GLS). Nice maps BTW! Make a game with 'em, that would be awesome.

I made this while playing with the demo version. I wish I could save ...the lightmap took about three hours to render! Woo!

This was made without importing anything, I just used everything that came with the demo.

Megaton: That looks awesome, really reminds me of one of the different high-rise levels out of Quake or UT2K4.

And now for more screenshots. These are all working towards a full building (the medical bay I had posted before), and these are for the inside.

Here's an upper walkway and stairs:

Here's an opperating table with gear-type articulation:

I'm hoping to have more for ya soon.

Looking good EFX. You definitly know when you have a good model when you model things to look like they work(referring to the chair).

WIP using the leadwerks Industrial texture pack, and Asylum mesh pack, both available at www.leadwerks.com. The mesh pack was inspired by the Nova Prospekt areas of Half-Life 2:
