Well, since this has turned into a full-out update fest (by accident), I guess I'll release the news that as of 5 minutes ago (plus time for playing around with it
):
I have completed everything I wanted to do with Water.
What does this mean? The following:
- You can now SWIM in the water... optionally.
- The following commands have been added to the scripting language:
.....-
CONDITIONS
.....---PLRUNDERWATER=X (1 or 0)
.....---PLRHEAVY=X (1 or 0)
.....---WATERLEVELGREATER=X
.....---WATERLEVELLESS=X
.....-
ACTIONS
.....---INCWATERLEVEL=X
.....---PLRHEAVY=X (1 or 0)
Okay, some of you are probably thinking right now "Well, what does it mean to be 'heavy'?" So I'll answer ahead of time and say that if the player is "heavy", then they will sink in the water
instead of being able to swim. They will sink to the bottom and move much slower than they do on the surface. But as a benefit, while underwater, the player will be able to jump extra high!
Let me know everyone's thoughts on this. I eagerly await my C&C and provide you with the following picture that doesn't really SHOW me swimming but I'm rather high up in a room filled with water.
The one and only,
~PlystirE~
