Ummm, you can unlock the highest settings easily. And anyhow, that level you showed is just a one segment room with no light-mapping, entities, etc. I meant a REAL room

Hey guys, in a 3x3 room with settings on 2 and also with my specs:
nvidia geforce 7200 gs.
AMD dual core prossecer.
and
2.8 gig of ram, i get 22 fps, but with v1.04 of the mod, I still get 22fps?

odd, now that Im upgrading my system im not getting much done, all I have in my backround is: 3 IE web explorers.

(Also when testing it with v1.04 wich was a few days ago with 796mb of ram and also a nvidia geforce 6100...(somthing like that.).)

anyone see my problem here?

@ LT Tatters

Geforce 7200 GS is pretty much like a low-budget gfx card. It's mainly used in cheap laptops and it sucks there hard too.

You can check the VGA Card Charts here :
http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/desktop-vga-charts/3dmark06-v1-0-2-sm2-0-score,543.html?p=1597%2C1602%2C1592%2C1583%2C1572%2C1580%2C1640%2C1582%2C1634%2C1571%2C1575%2C1588%2C1638%2C1560%2C1567%2C1629%2C1611%2C1610%2C1559%2C1626%2C1624%2C1603%2C1564

Your 7200 GS would be under the last gfx card or even lower than that (7300 GT).

Um Google it, I've done it, although it had NO gameplay affects, just slightly better graphics, so I turned it off. Plus my FPS was like a low 20.

I have probably missed this, but could someone please explain to me how you get the EFX Mod Effects functioning in the final built game, due to at present, the effects to not appear. I am aware of the 'efxenablegui' command, but where exactly is this placed, and is there a way of keeping the effects that you had chosen in the test game so they appear in the built game.

Thanks

CoZ

@ Creator of Zombies

The final build efx effects are controlled by a trigger zone.
You just place a trigger zone in the beginning of the game, and in the script you just place the parameters what you want for efx to do.

at the moment, it's not possible to deactivate the shaders via scripts.
that feature should be added in v1.53c (maybe in some weeks)

Features like the timer system or weapon modifications can't be disabled - because they are a fixed part of the engine.

Both from AirMod, and for those who don't know, that means you can use all the features in the AirMod thread in EFX (v0.5)

Nobodys gonna get the chance to buy lemur. Lemur is old news, and the developers lost their finess for making it. Urlforce will probably release it soon, but it most likely won't be for sale.

I played Crysis on the highest settings possible at 60-70 fps.

Dual GPUs goes a long ways.

lolz, I just tested Crysis demo on my pc and guess what - My old ATI 9600pro ran it 28-30fps with lowest settings all, 800x600. It was awesome !
Im getting new pc soon, a killer beast one for sure.

I run everything on High at 1440x900 (widescreen) and, while I've never actually checked my FPS, never felt lower than around 60 (except for the end with the carrier and the alien ship sinking into the ocean - that was like....5 fps....) and I only have 1 GPU DX10 too.

I'll be able to really use this once I buy my 8800GT. I've been saving up for... sooo long. I bet I could run EFX all maxed out, and Crysis too.

I can run EFX on highest with my 7800GT at about 40-30 FPS on a decent level. Crysis you won't be able to though, not highest res, settings and AA. I don't think anything could do that and still get great performance ATM. However, I'm talking Vista here, as it is the real graphical Crysis.

There is no way you can play Crysis maxed out with an 8800 GT. Sorry.

But yes you can run EFX maxed out. FPSC and EFX crash with my 8800 GTS 320mb at level 6 detail.

I've got everything on High, might be able to go higher, although I haven't bothered trying (high looks good enough, lol). My res is 1440x900 (widescreen 16:10) and I get a good 60 to 70 fps 8800 GTS, Vista, 2 Gigs of Memory and a Quad Core.

i suppose very high texture is easy enough for anybody to acheive if they have a 8600 or above, textures are nothing too spectacular
