No, I mean, why does it work in the demo and not the program itself?

definatley something worth perfecting

Uh - lightmapping should work in the program itself. Did you go to File->Preferences and turn on lightmapping?

Airslide - This mod is great! I'll be using this for Emergence II!

(Off topic - We watched some of your stickman videos on Youtube in my Physics class yesterday... I walked in on them playing other videos and I suggested yours. So we watched it. Just thought I'd let you know.)

You need DBP and DarkLights to compile it...

EDIT:

Those are all settings for the gunspec.txt file in the weapon's directory. So, for example, if you open up the Mossberg's gunspec.txt and add shotgun = 1, it will reload properly (as it is already setup for this!). I'll make this clearer in the 0.6 release. This was more to gauge the general reaction to the mod."

In that case, I think I'll wait for the proper release. Again, great work.

Great Mod.

there were however some big problems (as to be expected)

bug report: There was a problem when I run too close to walls, or if too many characters are in the scene, I fall through the floor and die. One time I fell through the floor and stayed in mid air

Overall congrats on developing such a great mod, I'm sure by version 1 it will change FPSC forever!

Thanks

Could someone post the exe from the demo? 35mb is too big for my dial up. Sounds great.

In multiplayer, the character bobs up and down on the floor, unable to move as he should.

Short and simple.

-Timer Based System; performance will always be the same, no matter what the framerate.

-Abitlity to change fire rate; alter the speed at which you shoot.

-Lazy gun; makes your gun move around when you look around.

-Burst fire; you can choose how many shots fire when firing the gun.

All you do is rename the .exe to FPSC-Game and copy it to the FPSC directory.

THIS JUST IN! Slayer_2 (teh pwner) has got light-mapping and V1.09 Beta 2 features working with Airmod 0.5! With no bugs! All thats left to fix is the shotgun, but I think I'll need EAI to re-do the animation to finish the job properly. If there's interest, I'll post how I did it, even though it's pretty obvious.
Slayer_2
P.S. Sweeeeeet! Weapon physics! Wow, this is so amazing! To fix the weapons falling through the floor glitch, make sure the enemy isn't crouched (don't use cover.fpi or similar). This seems to cause the weapon to spawn halfway through the floor. Unfortunately, head-shots do not work, but that is to be expected, maybe Airlside will add them.

The version I messed around was fantastic. Great work on this, Airslide and best of luck on the rewrite. One thing I don't think I noticed mentioned but is one of my favorite features is the conical bullet spread. Beautiful when applied to shotguns.

I haven't tested all of MP9/10 weapons of this but I am aware of the shotguns and the crash resulting in more than five sounds and/or sound frames. If someone is willing to compile a list of crashing weapons, I will post replacement gunspec.txt files which will remedy theat specific problem. But as Slayer_2 said, it is an easy fix. One needs only comment out any lines in gunspec.txt referencing sound 6(+) or soundframe 6(+). Sounds can easily have their IDs changed should an important sound be in the number 6(+) slot (such as reload).

Current weapons will be compliant with this as it is an issue for all FPSC source mods. I am also now developing weapon animations for timer based enviroments which should eliminate 99.99% of animation popping without affecting the look of things if used in the vanilla version of FPSC.

Locally, I have the MP9/10 shotguns working in AirMod plus two additional ones all using AirMods shotgun feature for reloading (new animations). I will make those versions available at a later date through TGC Store if possible.

By easy, I meant it was easy to get V1.09 working with Airmod My shotgun from MP10 will not work no matter what I do, and it is really annoying. After all, the SG reloading is a really awesome feature. Will the updates for the MP 10/9 SG's be free or will we have to buy them? So far the SG working in Airmod is the last thing I want, besides dynamic shadows of course I did however get the Mossberg working properly And lighting as well.
Slayer_2
P.S. Airslide, I have an idea for the next version of your mod: enemies that loop their reloading animations when reloading a shotgun. So if it has three shots, they play the reload animation 3 times, etc. Not serious, but it adds realism. Also, dynamic shadows that work properly, but I think thats a bit too much. Good luck with V0.6

I've decided to release the shotgun fixes now rather than later. There will be no charge as the fix files will be useless unless you own the pack(s).

I have the fix files zipped up and ready to go but even though it is a small .zip, Apollo times out on me when trying to attach to a post (dialup).

If Airslide has webspace, maybe he can host for AirMod users to DL.
Slayer_2, email me and I will send you the fix files tonight. Be sure you Have MPs9/10 installed or you'll have a different crash to worry about.

Headshots do work, and the gun physics need to be dropped down on their friction and speed, its getting annoyying when you drop a guy and then something flys away out the map and you're left thinking, "What the F was that?"

so will you do the armor mod? so you can simply set it in player marker the same as health, and you should include your shotgun script from your doom fan game

I have a new idea for a feature: Recoil! So when you shoot, your whole screen moves up, making rapid fire a lot less effective. It could be implemented with increments in the gunspec file, ex: recoil=1 would make a tiny bit of recoil, perhaps for an LMG, while a shotgun would have 5 recoil or something...

Yep, recoil would be great. It would make weapons more balanced instead of what is essentially the same gun.

@Errant - Sorry, no webspace yet. I used to have a nice host but they went out of buisness, I might set up a temporariy site on google pages though. Also, I'll be dropping you an e-mail in a few about a feature I think people will like

...look at th pic...

Edit: Ive discovered another problem. I have a few maps created with the Airslide Mod and when I open them in FPSC my computer screen goes black and all a see is a big cursor, then the computer crashes and I have to restart it so now I cant open these maps Has this happened to anyone?
