I found a terrorist model I'm rigging for FPSC at the moment to give these guys some target practise. It was on a free 3d models site link but will have to check if ok to upload when ready.

You're not the only one...

We get it, Unity is great, I know myself. We're using it at school, it's powerful, very simple to use etc.
But saying that some thirty times gives it a bad name, as it gets really annoying.

Illegaly ripped from Counter-Strike Source. I suggest you report the model.

EDIT: Screw that, report the site. It's full of ripped models.

Thanks for the info. The site didn't mention it was from another game or copyright material and your right theres loads of models on there including ones from Resident Evil etc.

Anyways I've just noticed model 09 on page 7 has the terrorist look and is way better than the one I found so not to worry.

@EAI how about releasing this pack on 11th November. I bet your sales would be sky high!!

@shadowfire

Indeed as a Wii owner myself having the opportunity to play mordern warfare online with all of the content and modes intact from 360 and PS3 is great.

I've heard they've done a great job with it too. High resolution textures, particle effects and other improvements from the world at war wii version but keeping the awesomely customisable controls. See you online.

My thread has been hijacked by CS terrorists and flown to Offtopica Island!

Nothing useful to post right now other than I'm doing loads of anim testing as I progress in order to see everything working in context of gameplay prior to moving on.

Damn i need these now I;m gona hold off makin my game til I get my hands on these. I am loving the possibility of having soldiers kicking down doors

Ooh Errant a cool animation would be the soldier pressing his radio as if he is talking into it. Personally the slow walk with the gun pointed down is half the reason I want these

Btw would it actually be feasable to make a soldier kick a door open with some fpi scripting? I'm new to scripting really so maybe thats a n00by question?

Cant wait for these! Thanks Errant

Stock animation? The animation of the soldier walking with his rifle pointed to the ground isn't a stock animation, unless I have been living under a rock lol.

To make sure we are on about the same pose, I mean kinda like this dude:

Re-read what he wrote. He said pointed down.

Got that one covered all by myself

Quote: "To make sure we are on about the same pose, I mean kinda like this dude"

Correct. Though there are actually going to be two gun-not-up walks and idles added. One is like in that pic and the other is hunched over like in a SWAT team stack and uses the crouch sized hitbox.

Quote: "I am loving the possibility of having soldiers kicking down doors"

Same here

Quote: "Yes, its possible, I'm going to write a tutorial for it once they are released."

Very cool! I will provide something basic but that will help people tailor things to their projects.

OK- now some good news. Great actually, IMO:
I got waypoint following working with alternate walk cycles!!!
The way the appropriate states need laying out is a little different than normal but it works and that's all I care about.

truly so. I bet these would cost like... 100 dollars a piece if anyone wanted them modeled by anyone else. anyways- brownie points here:

I, for one am glad to live in a world where our kind, gentile modeler EAI allows us to use his exceptional quality media at an unmatchable price.

Anyways errant wondering if you would grab my mod real quick and do a video with Dark AI, don't have to but it might look Epic and would probably show how well these guys look in action.

1.5-beta is the current? Downloading it now. Will give a run-through when I have time.

Minor update-Nearly everything ironed out with unarmed anims so I can move to weapon anims. Have a pretty cool test scenario with two guys fighting each other in hand to hand (using melee weapons, causing flinches, moving around, etc). There are a variety of melee weapon (weapontype-0) animations which will be usable. In the process, I've learned enough to be confident I can make firing (recoil) animation work well and synced-up.

I've also added (for WT-0) some basic sitting-in-chair animation such as sitting idle, stand up, sit down, idle at keyboard, typing at keyboard and death. It works great if you want to have a guy sitting for whatever reason. He can stand up then sit down or stand up and walk away/fight whatever but I don't know how to make him go to a chair and sit because the alignment with chair object is trickier than having him start out t a chair/desk.

Anyhow, hope to have a vid in a couple days to show this segment of anims, as completed.

fenix mod requires v1.16, unlike project blue mod. just reminding

and yes, he is. likely what I alone spend on these will be enough to pay his rent for a year. but by the time that year passes, I'll have bought a whole boatload more from him.

He is currently at the "low-ready" position; which is common for patrolling, etc. Being at the "ready" would mean he is holding his weapon in a manner that looks as if he's aiming; but he's not really looking down the sights at that time.
