Okay, well the 18 would be retrieved by the variables that Shadowtroid mentioned.

The 240 should be retrieved via the method I mentioned.

There's little point in making a Mod compatible with a beta version. Wait until V1.17 becomes final and I'm sure all of the mods will jump up to being compatible with it.

Ditto here too. Need some of the PB scripts to work with 117 to keep working on my project.

Guys, PB will be merged with the newest source when hockeykid has a chance. Please be patient. Hockeykid is still working on the official version, so his time is being targeted there for now. I know this is a tough time for PB users since the developer of PB is working on the official version as well, but this only means that since our developer also works on the official version we'll be practically guaranteed a smooth transition to the new source when he finds time to do so.

I totally understand. 117 has only been out a few hours, but I am just so excited.

The only thing that's keeping me from going to Vanilla is HUD actions and a numerous of other things that I do custom scripting wise. I'd love to see all of the scripting features in vanilla, otherwise I wont go back. PB still wins my heart for now.

Combine that with my M4A5's "check ammo" animation and you got a really cool feature

Yes, with plenty of new features with any luck. PB has been neglected for a while and been through some turbulent times, so hopefully Hockeykid will pull through when he's finished with the stock source code and give us a much needed update. I'd just also like to say that if it weren't for Plystire supporting us PB owners, we'd have little to no support as Hockeykid hasn't assisted me or many others with issues or questions.

Did I mention that I think having multiple etimers would be awesome?

Did I?

If so sorry.

Either way I hope PB gets updated soon.

I'm going to go ahead and blame this on Lee for stealing my apprentice from me, and then teaching him bad habits (such as not responding to questions).

Something like "etimer6start"? That would start timer number 6.

To be honest, I don't see a need for multiple entity timers. Could you give an example where one could be used?

Does that exist?!

Or did you make that up?

Quote: "Could you give an example where one could be used?"

I am using a script in which I have to split it up so I can use multiple etimers, such as multiple meters (health and mana for examplw) that regenerate at different rates WITH a delay so I cannot just use timelapse.

That's what I did...But it's a bit of a hassle. I like to have 1 big file with the whole thing combined. So much more elegant.

So

elegant

Lol, no shadowtroid, I was just speculating how multiple etimers might work.

I don't know if their use would be entirely needed, but if it's not a difficult implementation, I dont think it could hurt to throw it in.

Yeah, you CAN split up the script to get around it, but I think it's an unnecessary hassle. I really hate having to make variables I have to maintain to have the various scripts be able to communicate.

How about have this compataible with 1.18 instead of 1.17? I mean 1.18 is already in beta.

That might be the problem as there will most likely never be a mod for 1.17 because 1.18 is already in beta. I will buy PB when a stable version comes out with the new update(s).

why not i think there would be as 1.18 has just been started and it will be awhile before the 1.18 source is usable enough to merge pb into it

Is Hockeykid still working on the official 1.18 also ? sorry haven't been keeping up with the threads as much been gone for awhile now

PB does not have a version compatible with X10, sorry. Perhaps one of these days when the updates slow down a bit and the X9 version of PB reaches a fair amount of stability, hockeykid will find some time to put it into X10.

Just as a note to PB members, Hockeykid told me that PB has been merged with 1.17, but the compiler is crashing so he has asked Lee for help. Hopefully it will be released soon

I wouldn't count on Lee for any help with a Mod, guys. He has upheld a strict "No support for Mods" stance since the beginning and changing his view now would only welcome every wannabe modder on the boards to send him an email asking for help with their Mod.

As was stated earlier, hockeykid has integrated PB into v1.17, however he is experiencing compiling issues with it at the moment. I'm sure the update will come as soon as these issues are resoved.

It is good to know of the new purchasing system and the new downloader that I received as a purchaser in my mailbox from hockeykid. The system looks good and foolproof.

My questions.

Where can I find the serial key to put in the downloader? In my previous purchase of PB I remember there was a file, some dll, that was mentioned as my personal key. However it does not open with notepad, at least in my computer.

The only other identities I remember giving are my forum name and email address.

I might have forgotten something.

Any clues where I can find the key for the downloader?

And does this contain the upgrade to v 1.17?

BTW if this means that I have to buy PB twice within the span of around three months, then that would be regrettable, and contrary to conventions of business in the software world.

Thanks in advance.

PS: Man that was fast, Hockey replied even before I finished editing my post!

Still moving in circles.

@Hockeykid: Are you planning a new version of PB to correlate with each step in the migration or is this update "it" for a while? I know you've been really busy as of late but I was just sort of curious

PB wouldn't need a full port now as the timer systems, airmod and variable systems are already in FPSC V117.

Hockeykid just needs to seperate out the stuff which is either already in V118 or improved over PB and just get the other stuff in there.
