Thanks . I know 1k is not such a lot in the greater scale of things but it's a big milestone for me. And it certainly increases the pressure to get the next release right! Don't want 1000 people emailing me complaining that the update makes it crash or something!!

Yep, I think I've got email notifications when new posts are added so I should hear right away if anything new happens there.

Hello people,

Forgive me for my long absence in the forum. This year are very complicated for me.

Despite all, I could finish my last videogame, Future Aero Racing, for Intel AppUp and DESURA.

The link on Intel website still not available but I put the link to my website, so you can see some pictures and videos.

http://www.nurendsoft.es/games.php?LNG=EN&SECTION=game_list&PAGE=FF-201207

Thanks to all and sorry again for my long absence.

I've missed this thread...and you too Jordi, congratulations on releasing yet another app and welcome back! You should pick up AppGameKit and port those games to the mobile platforms.

Hello guys,

I've changed the price in the games profile on ADG website but appears unauthorized.

I need to do anything more to authorize the games?

When I get the link of my last game on Intel AppUp website, I will add the game profile on ADG.

EDIT: Did you edit it on baxspace.com? It doesn't look like anything has been edited...

You shouldn't have to. It could be that something needs changing since the domain was transferred to my account or something.

And a last question about ADG website ( and I no more annoying you )

How I can add a game demo profile?

I have seen a copy of the Operation Annunaki game's profile as a demo game profile. I can do this?

Thank you baxslash

Yes, you can add demos / WIP. Just select "Demo Game Listing" under "Category" I think...

I'm just making sure your listings are published and I'll check your account status. It should be sorted out very soon.

EDIT: that should be fixed now, I see you are logged in there already so you probably already know

Hi

I can't edit the HIGH JUMP 3D Demo profile and Strange and Dangerous DEmo profile.

This message appears:

"Message: The article HIGH JUMP 3D APP Demo is currently being edited by another Editor, Publisher, or Administrator."

I've edited the Operation Annunaki demo profile and now appears the extra fields.

Thanks baxslash

Hi, Can I ask what you are all doing with regard to the code signing certificate once the 1st free year with Comodo expires. Is this the main reason things are quiet now?

I haven't done anything yet, but expect that I'll just try to renew at Comodo for another year and hope that I wont need to provide all the documentation proof that they wanted previously.
That's not the reason I've been quiet - I've just been very busy at work and waiting for the next AppGameKit full version release with all the new commands.

Thanks for that mr_d. I was also thinking about costs. Has it got to the stage whereby others benefit more than we the programmers. I know how many long hours that I need to get an App finished but I doubt that I could ever recover the certificate costs, or any other costs that may be needed. Many have found getting Apps submitted and approved very difficult and together with additional costs needed, I wonder if there is a better way to publish our hard work.

I'm still going through the comodo verification process but it seems to still be free (for another year). Just waiting for a phone verification then I'm done.

Hey Juney, long time no see!

It happens to be the 2nd Anniversary for the ADG this Saturday (also The Slayer's birthday) but sadly, I think all of us have been too busy to organise something. Maybe we could have a belated party/comp/something when the Christmas holidays arrive.

Damn, that snuck up on me!

I wonder how many active members we have now though. Sadly I haven't had time to keep pushing this group forward and other than a few core members we don't seem to get much activity at the moment.

If anyone has any ideas what we can do about that then let me know, or post them here.

Whoooaaaaah, yeah! Time surely flies!
We've all been very busy indeed. Finally found a new job a few months ago (which means I can FINALLY sell my own creations/apps), plus working on several projects (such as Snackantula, S.C.O.T.), helping out DVader (as much as I can), and ADG.
Very thoughtful of you to remember it's also my Birthday soon, Hodgey!

Quote: "If anyone has any ideas what we can do about that then let me know"

Hum...a belated (coding or art) contest would be good, I think. ?

Cheers

Hmm, what about a comp that this forum has never seen before, like a music one? I think most of us are busy working on our hit apps so a coding comp may not take very well. An art comp might.

Thoughts?

That's great news The Slayer, and Happy Birthday

I like the idea of an art competition. What if we make it a "Media" competition? Then anyone can enter with music, 2d or 3d art...

I can come up with a theme and at least a badge or two for prizes

I just got my second free comodo certificate, so it's still possible although I did have to jump through all the same hoops as last time!

Edit: comodo not commodore, damn iPad...

Sorry guys, two of my kids were sick over the weekend so I never got back to the computer...

COMPETITION ANNOUNCEMENT
New Beginnings
With the New Year approaching and all of the new ways we are now able to create games and create content for games I thought it would be nice to have a competition about "New beginnings"!

This is a totally open competition to anyone who has a creative side. You can enter with; Game art (2D or 3D), Music / Sound FX, a Game or App! If you have an idea for something not listed here then just ask me if it's eligible for entry and I'll let you know.

I don't want to stifle any creativity which is why I have made the brief so open. Just try to base your entry on the subject title.

Your entries will be judged mainly on their creativity and originality, not technical expertise (although clearly this will be taken into consideration). I won't be asking for code this time if your entry is a game or app.

Please only enter with your own ORIGINAL WORK!! Anyone found using another person's content will be kicked out of the competition. Use of the odd function or shared functions will not be possible to check but the work you submit will be considered for originality.

Prizes
As with the last competition we will do our best to provide something tasty for the winner/s. At this point in time we will be announcing 3 winners at the end, 1st / 2nd and 3rd place.

Winners will be eligible for relevant forum badges at the very least!

Please post any questions here for now or email me.

Well chosen theme for the comp, bax!
I shall start on a bunch of animated spritesheets, stunning skyboxes (.dds), and sweet textures for prizes!

May the best man/woman win! Good luck, everyone!!

Damn straight . My next app, called Nexus of Power, is finally starting to progress meaningfully. I keep meaning to post a WIP thread but I never know when the right time is. Too early and there is nothing to show, too late and it's difficult to take accounts of comments/suggestions.

Nice! I'll start brainstorming and see if I can think of anything. New beginnings is an interesting theme. I'm sure there are lots of possibilities there!

Sounds good! In fact, I just incorporated your cool looking powerball sprite from the pack I won last year into Nexus and it looks great .

Hello people

I've published a new demo of my last game Future Aero Racing on Intel AppUp but this special demo is only for Windows 8 with touch screen and accelerometer.

This is the link to a real gameplay video (I playing in a new Ultrabook with Win8 with touch screen and accelerometer):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=C_VY4SPlQWU

And the link to my website game's profile, to download the free demo:

http://www.nurendsoft.es/games.php?LNG=EN&SECTION=game_list&PAGE=F8-201203

The link to AppUp website doesn't work because Intel don't updated yet his website. Sorry

Thanks to all

Yes, I participate in the CodeProject competition. I heard about it casually and I was able to send the demo in the last day.

The truth is that I had a hard work to use the sensors with DBPro because I never used the Visual Studio c++.

Now I'm learning the language AppGameKit for future games (if the spanish crisis will allow me to make more games ).

2000TH MESSAGE

I live in Manchester, I live in an awkward location, millionaires around the corner, opposite them a slum, around the corner up the hill, a gun crime spot, along with all the takeaways lol, and a broad mix in-between there and here... I live in a cul-de-sac or however you spell it.. and it is a nice little private estate, but unfortunately thanks to some circumstances it is now ripe for thieves, many of the surrounding neighbours have been robbed multiple times... and do nothing to correct the issue, I however, have steel bars and gates in place My room that I am in right now, is nick named "The Prison Cell" by my friends but just rightly so, it also complies with The Data Protection Act so way hay!

Indeed I am saddened by the effects of having been burgled, it should not have needed to happen, re-iterating, I lost over half my business and almost my life when it happened last, but Smile, Move on, and be Strong you get nowhere sitting in a circle...
