I'm getting an error on 1.18. when ever I press on the test game button, i get an error! the same one as Slaur3n.

I'd have to say........ The Game Creators can make dreams come true.

I got the same error when I installed .Net framework so i don't believe it is related to WASP.

Edit: Just for info, although I reinstated the missing *.dll, when I built the game, my usres found the *.dll was still missing. I've not tried building with stock FPSC and I am not pointing the finger at WASP, just thought I'd share my finding.

Hi,

Re:msvcr100.dll

I'm not sure why this error is happening for some people, and it's not just a WASP error as it has happened for DBP users as well as users of several commercial games.

You can fix the problem, by searching for MSVCR100.dll in a search engine and following the install instructions. If I can find the reason, I will try to come up with a fix but I'd suggest the above first.

Fixed all major reported bugs.

*note* Hide/Scale head is currently only functioning on certain models. I am looking into this but felt it was a minor issue that could be addressed at a later date.

Oops, any chance of a quick fix?

For some reason it spawns with the default WW2 gun instead of the entities default weapon. However, as soon as I scroll through weapons that gun disappears...

Apart from that everything else A 'OK!

I see that knxrb's name has been removed from the manual - am I to guess there may be a two-tier WASP appearing in the future, one free and one not-so-free

We'll always listen to suggestions, and if feasible will look into them. Depending on the complexity, it will depend if we incorporate them, and into which version they go. (See below).

There are indeed plans for a 'not so free' version of WASPv2 mod, but the exact full features are still in discussion. It has become apparent that the amount of time required to bring all of the features we know you would all like to see simply can't be justified without making a charge.

As always, we won't reveal anything until we have finalised plans, but are well into the process. All I can say is that when we are ready we will start a new thread.

For anyone concerned, that doesn't mean the end of WASPv2 as a free mod, and that version will continue to grow over time.

So now you know.

Yes SC in built MP game. I spawned with that horrible looking weapon from the WW2 collection with the terribly huge crosshair, I scrolled and my proper weapon appeared and I couldn't go back to that gun. Needs to spawn with entities default weapon.

Here are my two cents.

I'd suggest these features: (Some may be complex)
1. Player Legs? Please?
2. A command to add player lives (Simple Enough)
3. Commands to adjust universal reload time, accuracy, ammo quantity, etc. (may be hard)
4. Variables dependent on X/Y Axis (Also Hard)

Have you looked at the edit gun spec features, which allows on the fly editing of gunpecs. I suspect this is what you're looking for.

@Sting I fixed the ww2 weapon showing up in MP game as your first weapon.

Also I think quickload last autosave already in fpsc you just have to script it as far as I remb.

s4real - I have already scripted the quicksave, I have multiple spread out through my maps, however all the time when you die it restarts from last checkpoint or restarts the map, instead it needs to autoload the last quicksave, I must note that there was quite a few users requesting this this year so I think it could be a compelling feature.

It is for me. I imagine it's either a model or scriptbank issue. What model and script are you using? Bear in mind that some models are blocked from using ragdoll by the engine due to incompatibilities.

ya i tested with other model and it is working ...

but not working for bond1 zombielimb model (working in vanilla fpsc)

the zombie just hang after dying in midair

@veer :- Ragdoll has been changed in the official source and you have to use the new throwbacks scripts and new ragdoll scripts.

Please note that we are using the most upto date source thats not been released yet.

@SC - Have you updated RC2 226 to contain the windows 7 fix? I have tested the game with WASP mod on windows 7 and keep getting a mad error... I've google'd it to the death and tried EVERYTHING I know and still can't get it to work!

So, I copied over the default FPSC-Game.exe (v118) over and it works! So i can only assume this problem is something to do with WASP mod.

Btw, I installed MS C++ Redistributable also as it seems you maybe calling something from mscvr100.dll so everyone who wants to install WASP mod on their FPSC machines and their end users will have to have MSCRedistributable installed to run it!

@Sting yes RC2 does have the windows 7 fix for sp1 anbd have been tested on machines with it without any errors.

Is this error on a built game can you run wasp in testmode.

Also make sure you have copied over the databank folder to ya builtgame or wasp will crash.

You dont have to install MSCRedistributable to run wasp you just need the mscvr100.dll in windows/system32 folder.

Let us know how you get on.

@s4real - Databank folder is in there, the crash begins upon launch it doesn't even manage to initialize the full screen window.


This error code is a strange one, I google'd it and tried all the possible fixes (ie: updating physx, nvidia drivers etc.) tried running the game as 'admin' just crashes.

As soon as I run FPSC-Game.exe which can with 118 in that built game folder it runs as normal.

My research into that error seems to flag Skype as the most common cause of it. So firstly, I'm wondering if WASP is clashing with something on your system.

Can you confirm, that this is only a built game error? And is this on an existing map or one you have built from scratch?

@Anyone else

Can anyone else confirm this bug? And if so, what are your system specs.

Lastly, we have indentified a flak issue which caused flak to cause no damage, this has been fixed and will be in the next release. If you have any other NON reported issues, please let us know.

I don't know about the whole Skype speculation,however I do know that Skype is a problem for a lot of programs.For example if you want to run a local server(xampp),Skype closes some ports and prevents the server from running.Not really related to the problem,but I wouldn't be surprised if it causes other things to not work.

Skype has other compatibilty issues, eg, it can be touchy about compatibilty with certain browsers.

@SC - I do happen to have skype installed on that machine, will remove it and give it a try, however re: skype, I have it on my Windows XP machine and it works fine on mine, I also have it on the Vista Laptop and that runs wasp built game fine too.

Existing map, but with new compile. I managed to get it to run successfully on the WinXP machine and Vista to connect via MP rather smooth. However, last night I tried literally EVERYTHING on the windows 7 machine. As I stated, when I copied over fpsc-game.exe from my 118 directory on this machine and ran it worked fine on the win7 machine. I did take note on the googl'ing that most of the conflicts with that error are games. So it's most certainly something in the WASP code.

Further note, I notcied with standard and WASP (on XP) application launch it creates the full screen window first (as per) but with this error on the Win7 machine it doesn't even allow for the window to be drawn, so I am assuming it could be something before the window is drawn?

Trying to give you as much info as I can as obviously I don't have the WASP source so not sure myself

It'll prove rather difficult I'm afraid to track down a bug that only you appear to be experiencing. I'm happy to investigate a little further, but as you say it does work on XP and Vista and WASP itself was developed on a windows 7/64 bit platform and I've not encountered the problem. I'm still thinking that the issue is caused by some form of conflict with you machine.

When did this error start for you?

Oh, I totally understand that, luckily this machine is only a 'test' machine and isn't one of my development machines, I like to test all my end products on as many setups as possible. It's Win7/x86.

I didn't test any previous wasp builds on this windows 7 machine this is first test.

Hey! So i got the Wasp mod and the first thing i notice, no flashlight = dissapointed. Also i did't really see an increase in my game... I may be wrong about the flashlight, but i never saw a script for it in scriptbank.
