They say a
little more ingame than they do in the last demo; they make a variety of jumping sounds, ouch sounds, talk when in first person view, when they are bored and when they complete a level.
The game also has 4 films, which are all fully voice acted too;
> The introduction film
This explains how 'Lecture', the game's villain and his army of
'Studes', the game's orange villains, are running an oil rig. In the
annual financial meeting however, it turns out that the
employee wages for the oil rig however, exceed the profits they are
making selling the oil - so Lecture comes up with a plan. What if
they used slave labour to man the rig? That way - they wouldn't lose
any money and Lecture can get rich! The slave labour force he has
in mind, are 'Dumbo' & 'Cool's' purple friends - The 'Schmumps'.
Cut to Happy Valley, where we see Dumbo and Cool playing a friendly
game of tag. Dumbo tags Cool, and Cool starts to chase her on his
skates, to tag her back, but she jumps in water where he can't get
her. Then, helicopters descend - full of Lecture's Stude goons! They
trap all of the 'Schmumps' in Happy Valley in metal cages that can
only be opened from the outside to transport to Lecture's oil rig.
It turns out that the helicopters are overloaded with caged Schmumps,
so the Studes dump the excess ones - around the first
three levels, and take the rest to the oil rig, levels 5 and 6. In
these levels, instead of rescuing caged Schmumps, you resuce Schmumps
working on the oil rig itself, all wearing hard hats ^_^
Cut back to Happy Valley, Dumbo and Cool have evaded capture, and
now set off to find their friends!
> A film at the beginning of the train level.
This introduces the train level. Dumbo finds out
that the train will take them to the oil rig where they can find
the rest of their friends, so they hop aboard!
> A film at the end of the train level.
They arrive at the oil rig, to the revelation that all of their
friends are now slaves!
> The ending film.
