Sorry man, I've spent hours trying to devise a PHP system, there is just no secure way to do it. I'm giving up on this, because I've already sucked up loads of bandwidth testing. Best of luck, I support you on this, if you ever need light PHP help when you get it working, let me know.

This is a great piece of software! I just downloaded it and it looks awesome!

One question though, does it make it so you don't have to port forward?

Some people say that I'm crazy... And I agree.

It doesn't actually edit the source code in any way.
So your games are exactly as they are if you don't apply FPSC IP

Hi thm120, if you go into the 'Filessetupfiles folder then can you tell me what files are in there.

You should have a 'setup-multi.ini' file and also a 'setup-single.ini' file if your using single player as well.

Make sure the 'setup-multi.ini' file is the correct ini file for your multiplayer game.

If it isn't then copy the 'setup.ini' file from your multiplayer game and overwrite the 'setup-multi.ini' file.

Also why is your screenshot labeled 'Lemur-v2'?

Very cool. Is it possible to make it so that other people can host different servers on your multiplayer game so you can choose which server you want to go to by using a server list?

Quote: "Is it possible to make it so that other people can host different servers on your multiplayer game so you can choose which server you want to go to by using a server list?"

The multiplayer games work just as normal, FPSC IP makes a list of people hosting the games and the people who want to join a game can retrieve the list.

So you can't select a 'server' as the game host is the 'server'.

Making it so it can use different servers will require me to edit the FPSC source code and I'm not prepared to do that at the moment as it could cause numerous problems

A new patch has been released for Version 3, it fixes the small error that sometimes stops users accessing the extra features.
You can download it on the website

Hi Gorba,

Lobby & Chat: This feature lets your users chat to each other while they wait for other players to join or until they are ready to play the game.
It's good for clan games as it mean the game can be started when all the players from a clan is there etc...

Example:
A player hosts a game and they become the game host.
Players see his game and can join it.
Then if the host has started the game already they can start playing straight away or wait and chat in the lobby.
If the host hasn't started the game then they can chat and wait for the host to start it.

The multi-level lets you have up to 1000 multiplayer levels instead of 1
It's an add-on to the lobby & chat feature and works like this:
When a host has created a game if this feature is available then he can choose a level from the list.
The host is the only one who can choose the level.
This level is the level that everyone plays

I've attached a screenie showing both features working

I've payed Ply to make a mod that bypasses the ip & nickname screens and goes straight to playing the game.
It all works except a small error wehn the game is closed.
Ply's working on this and it should be finished soon
You can use the current mod(with error) if you like.
Plese Note: It does say 'Ply's Mod' at the beginning, to remove this you need to buy his mod(I'm not sure if he's added this to his mod yet though, you'll have to ask him) from his website.

@Claws: Thanks

Models of stuff from the Call Of Duty games would be good
Things like buildings or bridges etc...

If you can't do any from Call Of Duty then just think of some models you can make and tell me and I'll see if I want it

Would the file size for a ten map .exe be equivalent to ten standard FPSC mp .exe's? Or is it all condensed somehow?

It's less than 10 seperate games as all the games use the same 'Files' folder.

Example:
8 seperate games are around 980MB!
With FPSC IP it is only 186MB*(including FPSC IP exe and FPSC IP files)

knxrb

*My mistake , I looked at the wrong folder and it's not 12.8MB it's 186MB. This is with un-necessary files though such as unused model packs segments etc.. so if you only use the files that are necessary then it will be a lot smaller.

Ok guys, the FPSC IP Expansion Pack Creator is now complete and is on the website for you all to download for free

I've decided to release it for free because I'm in a generous mood

Also Version 3 has now been updated with a small patch that removes 2 errors that have been found. So if you are buying or have bought the multi-level feature then you'll need to download the updated app

That will probably be because it's in your 'Local Settings' folder.
Try copying it to your 'C:\' drive or another folder like you documents or desktop.

That should work

i think not, that port forwarding is damn dumb especially when i have a werid router manufacturer so i cant configure it,cant wait till summer to get a laptop and portable net

oh and another great feature would be password protected servers.to acess it you must enter the password to the server and ur ready to go,oh oh oh and a favorite server tab is also a must so you can add your favourite servers in there

@Crusader2: As I've said previously, the FPSC IP software does not edit the FPSC source in any way. Therefore you still need to forward the ports.

@djmaster: Wow, thanks for all these ideas

meh its no problem,i just launched up a few multiplayer games like counter strike ect. and checked what is really needed, also beacause i want to give the most functionallity to my multiplayer game thats comming, only one question: the fpsc ip will be constantly updated,so instead of building totaly new games, you must just replace the fpsc ip files and the multiplayer will still work? beacause if some people dont update then you must also show what version of fpsc ip is using so yours is compatible for sure and fpsc ip wont let you in other version servers

edit: did i understand right that you must buy it for 1000 mp games? if thats true how much is the limit in the free version? if its only 1 then it makes no use to me,you should maybe limit free to 5 mp games

The free version allows 1 singleplayer game and 1 multiplayer level.
The idea is that if you want more than 1 multiplayer level you buy the upgrade.
If I put it as 5 levels for the free version then everyone will just use that and I will get no-one buying it.

I'm going to add version checking to the next release
