About the beta, I'll probably get round to testing it a few hours from now. I just got your e-mail but I'm kinda pre-occupied right now.

MASSIVE new multiplayer game coming soon!

If you send me your email address then I can send you a different version that I think may solve your problem: knxrb@yahoo.co.uk.

@FPSC IP Beta Testers:
Have any of you tested the new version yet?
I'm asking because I'd like to get it released as soon as possible.

There isn't really a 'commercial' version.
What happens is you download the basic free version and then you can buy extra features to make it better.

The current features:
Lobby & Chat (Let players chat before starting the game.)
Multi-Level (Have up to 1000 multiplayer levels in one game.)
Feature Pack 1 (to be released with v3.1) (contains frag/time limit changing, connection speed checking, custom lobby/room names, allow host to kick players from lobby/room and more...)

I'm not sure yet, I'll think about it
I may let all testers keep one feature of their choice for doing the testing.

Not to sound snippy or anything, but maybe you should check it out as well. It's comforting to know that the creator is familiar with his own product before being tested. Regardless, I'll do my bit and check it out sometime. Just tell me what I need to do.

I have a problem, but not with a site, but with the program... When I build the game and go combine two games with your program (single player and multi player, the single player works perfect, but when I go to the multi player, look what happens (I attached the image)... I don't have host game option, nor the join game option, but when I go to the folder where the game was before I combined it, it worked fine... do you know what is the problem?

Try this:
Go into the 'Files\gamecore\' folder in the multiplayer games folder and copy the 'huds' folder overwriting the 'gamecore\huds' folder for the compiled FPSC IP games.

If it doesn't work or your confused by what I said then let me know.

EDIT2: Its like I only have exit game option at story mode, but now there are no new game and load game...

EDIT3: By the way, is there a way you can give me access to the extra features, but that I don't have to pay... I can't pay

I may am cosing you trouble with this program stuff, sorry about that

Try copying the huds from both the multiplayer and the singleplayer into the folder.

Quote: "is there a way you can give me access to the extra features, but that I don't have to pay... I can't pay "

I do take payment in models, segments & entities.
I'll also take payment in textures if anyone has any good ones.
If you don't have any of those then just send me an email with what you've got to offer and I'll take a look

Quote: "I may am cosing you trouble with this program stuff, sorry about that"

No problem, I'd rather it was just you than 100 other people

Also are you using V3 or the V3.1 I sent you?

3. I don't know, I downloaded all that is for download from your website 4 days ago... or maybe 3...

Still doesn't work:
1. When I open FPSC IP.exe file I only have play online button and exit button
2. When I go to host game, I have an error "Error, could not host game".
What do you think that is the problem, I got nothing now...

EDIT: Hey, I got an idea, what folder do I have to use first:
FPSC IP Creator or FPSC IP Expansion Pack Creator. I first installed from FPSC IP Creator then from FPSC IP Expansion Pack Creator

You build your games with FPSC IP Creator, then if you want to make an expansion pack you build the new levels into a new folder(not same as previously built levels) and it makes your expansion pack.

I'll try and recreate the problem and try and work out the answer

Can you also post one or two screenshots of the different menus for me?

Another feature suggestion:

There should be an option in IP creator that lets you restrict certain levels to certain game modes (ie: deathmatch and team deathmatch.) So maybe do it so there are two checkboxes next to each level in the map list for deathmatch and team deathmatch. If you tick a box, it means you can play that map on that mode. So one may be for deathmatch only, another for TDM only and another for both. I really think you should consider this, as some levels would be designed for one game mode specifically.

@kidec: Sounds good
Also are you 100% sure that you're putting a standard FPSC game as the singleplayer and the multiplayer levels are arena games?
If you try putting an arena game as the singleplayer then that might explain why the huds aren't there.

@Pus In Boots: Nice idea, I didn't think about that

Also have any of the beta testers finished testing the new version yet?

Version 3.1 is the next version, which hopefully will be available over the next few days. (if I can get my beta testers to finish their testing!)
Version 3.1 comes with the new feature pack which includes connection speed checking, time/frag limit changing etc...

Another thing I just wanna clear up. For the scoring system, are you using the idea I suggested about the whole KILLS x POSITION thing? Or did you opt for something else?

I haven't actually started it yet so I've not decided on a final system.
It'll probably be this though:
Player gets 20* points for each kill.
Player gets 50/30/10* points depending on if they were first, second or third.
*The amount of points will be customizable by the game developer.

That way the harder the player works and the more kills he gets the more points he gets so he's got to earn the points
It also means the player in bottom place will get at least 1 point

With all due respect, on a design level, I think I prefer my idea. I'm not trying to slag off yours or anything, I just think doing the KILLS x POSITION makes more sense, because players can't have two player games to whore massive points; it assigns a multiplication of the players skill relative to the amount of players. Also, because first and second place will be hotly contested for the big points, players will fight for their dear lives just to rack up those few extra kills to push them in the league. It takes both skill to rack up the points and success in big games to multiply those points for huge bonuses. The way you suggest, players could have a three-player game and still rack up loads of points, even though not as much skill was involved. You know what I mean? Anyway, I'll leave you to make up your mind, but please understand why I am so passionate about this idea.

Whoa, I got an idea, why don't you use something like, if you kill the guy with the hard weapon (M4, MT42...), you get 1 point, if you kill him with small weapons (pistols, granades...) you get 2 points, and if you kill him with close weapon (knife, kitana, axe...) you get points. That would be a perfect thing...
Oh, and by the way, I made 2 entities, well one actually... I'm working on the other one just now . The thing I created is some kind of pot... take a look of it...
Sorry if you don't like it, I'm still working on my skills, I will create more, for me AND you...
