I just uploaded my entry and at the moment the countdown still has 19 hours to go. If my entry doesn't count because someone made the timer wrong, I will be MORE then upset.

No the time isn't up; there are still 17 hours left. If you're going to post a deadline clock for us to work by then at least stick to it.

The time is definitely not up:

Quote: "Hi, this is the official community competition posting.
... Entries must be in by midnight 10th April 2009 Greenwich Meantime (GMT)"

See also the official countdown clock picture attached to this post, screenshot made now (10th Friday morning).

Although I have uploaded my entry already but it is not fair to all those who counted on one more day left.

Hmm..there might be a debate on that clock. The rules state midnight of the 10th, which is past, but the clock says there is still 16 hours left till 11:59pm of the 10th, which hasn\'t past yet.

The rules clearly states 12am of the 10th, so sadly if anyone submitted after then it won\'t be considered. Though maybe because of the clock error, anyone who submitted after thinking they still had time, you can cut them some slack?

Getting close to the deadline.

By the way...
What are the judges looking for? Are they judging on originally of idea, Code Content, length of code, or anything else?

Thanks,

Dark Fire

Oh well, that's me done for then. I was using the countdown clock, which says that there is still 13 hours left.

Hopefully they'll extend the deadline to match the clock, and I'll work on my game today in that hope.

AGGHHHH! The countdown timer says that I still have 8+ hrs left but the ftp server won't let me upload! I just finished my second game last night and would have submitted it then but it was thundering so I had to turn off the pc. Oh well. It would have beaten everyone else's anyway. Could someone contact The game creators and tell them about this? Maybe they will cut me some slack.

I have an 11ghz. Laptop! Fear me my neanderthal friends!

I can't just give a list out, but I'm logged into irc.devhat.net for the day, pm me and I'll check for you. You just need mIRC or another IRC chat program, and to Enter the room called #lobby my user name in there is Daniel. I'll keep myself logged in until an hour past midnight. If you have any concerns about your upload or any other questions, you can contact me there, in real time for the day.

Surly a list of all successful uploaded filenames is not confidential. Is only fair to let people know that their entry has been received and not corrupted on transfer. This has been done on previous compos and allowed people to resend if there has been a problem. e.g.

Hi guys, sorry I didn't get back to you sooner.

I've attached a directory dump of all the filenames I've downloaded from the server, including the file sizes in bytes. The files where downloaded at 12:05am on the 12th of April

The total number of receive files with uniqe file names, and no version number indication, was 39. This is a rough count so it may be off by one or two. I'll know when I've decompressed everything.

Natrually that means I've got 39 games to play, sort through, and check the source code too. So don't expect stage one to be quick.

First of all however I'm going to process the readme files, generate a list of everyone that entered, and sort out your free TGC store points. I hope to finish that in the first week. Remember I do have other TGC duties I can't ignore, so don't expect this to be fast. I do however "hope" to get all your free TGC Store points sorted out by next friday.

To keep you all informed of the judging progress I have created a thread HERE, . I've locked it, so you still need to discuss things here however as I progress through, I will edit the post, with the number of entries sorted through, and other details that are relivent.

@ Flashing snall
Your TGC Store account, and order record account need to match. You can either e-mail the support mail service, and i'll transfer your order record to your profile TGC Store profile address, or you can create a new TGC Store account, using the same e-mail address you supplied when you entered your game.

@ DB PROgrammer

I'm making no plans at all. I'd rather take the time to play all your games properly then rush.

Please check the Judging Progress thread for up to date information in the progress.

I'll look into it, it's my first time assigning TGC Store points manually, I'll have a word and make sure I've got the process sorted.

Is anyone else not showing points? I've got all the entries but one, sorted. I've e-mailed the author in question, so if you don't have an e-mail from me, then you should have them.
