Still, i bet you did realized the 'break'up that the comunity is going trough... people die, or leave, or get angry and half continent gets post moded, and everyone is like 'Angry', and this sort of activity, is lately showing that problably it will be just a steam of anger that will fly away as fast as it arrived...thats my opinion.

Wow, I can't wait for this pack to be released! I have so many of your models I think I lag from having so many. Does your FPSC hold all of them? If so that is just amazing. Mine seems to be lagging today after downloading a couple more packs. The greatness just killed it. But really, does anyone else have this problem? Or can your fps hold all of his models? (that includes about everyone on his site & most in the forums)

Cheers.

God help me, Please.

Lagging from having to many things in FPSC's directory?

I have 16GB alone of FPSC stuff, which probably isn't much compared to some people.

Here's a picture of one of the walls, I still have 5 others to be done.

Hi folks,
Its been a while since i last visited this forum.
I hope you haven't forgot me.
I had a lot of problems, but forget it...

So..Since I returned ... I said to myself "Hey, why don't shoot some models for this pack to make happy people?"

So..i just made quick model for now...
It's unfinished but...let's check...
So..what you think? It's a mortar.

And say "Welcome back" to me

Sweet lookin' model! And welcome back.

Wish I could make stuff like that. If all you need is an untextured cube, I'm your man but beyond that... sigh. One day I'll have the time to sit down and learn this modeling stuff.

It compiled! Ship it!

Ok I am definetely not the best of modellers infact this was my very first go at doing anything in Milkshape in years (and even before those years I never managed anything) anywho. I tried to make a HK SL8-6 the civilian variant of their G36. I have done it as best I could but would love for someone with a bit of real knowledge to maybe give a go at fixing it up to something usable.

Photo I worked from:

My Dodgy attempt Wire:

my dodgy attempt 3D is attached

Just email me for the milkshape file or any other format you want it in.

Thanks,

Violent Pigeon

Best thing to do is to break it down into individual components and model them that way. I can't tell from the image, but it's often beneficial to model moving parts separately, such as the trigger, any levers, the magazine etc. Not only does this make it easier to animate, but it means you can hide those groups and extrude outwards in the other axis with less obstruction.
For this, if you can, find a reference image looking straight down the barrel and straight down the length of the stock to get an idea of the approximate widths and shapes of objects across the other axis from both directions.

Your model looks good so far, though.

@Whoever it was that asked me to make my images smaller: is this small enough? I sense it might be an incompatibility with resolutions (I'm on 1920x1080 so everything looks quite small to me).

This is the generator I did ages ago but forgot to put into FPSC until now:

As for the Barrett, Arseny is rigging and animating it for me around his exams so should be done soon. I just need to make a few changes to the gunspec.txt and fine-tune some of the textures and that will be done.

And I think to round off my contributions (unless someone can suggest something else for me to model that inspires me), a collection of things I've had kicking around for ages that might be found in the modern home (or military base).

A deck chair, a copy of 'The Times' (which by the time it gets to you will be 'The Dates' or some other witty title), a cool box, a bottle of nondescript beer, a can of nondescript cola, and a bottle of Fairy Liquid (again, will most likely be 'Pixie Liquid' or something else).

While I don't have the skills to contribute to modeling, texturing, or rigging, I can offer hosting space if needed. (wish I had the mad skills you guys do..)

I've got plenty of room on the web server, and a 25Mbit connection.

Feel free to email me if interested.

Yes. It didn't effect me all that much. I have the same resolution, but the rules of posting images are 800x600 and I am even guilty of posting larger.

Thanks and good work.

2 are shots from movie zombies, 1 is a costume, and another is an action figure. There is a template included to make your own targets.

I think I must have forgotten how to rig skeletons - or else Milkshape has truly lost its head. I had modeled and textured, quite labouriously, this civil servant/army officer type character, only now that I have come to rig it, I've ended up with this:

I've started over several times, and rerigged it in various different ways, and yet I can see no conceivable reason why it should continue to look like the Terminator in the final scene of Terminator 2. I wouldn't mind finishing this one, having spent so long on it.

This can happen if you accidently move a bone out of place while rigging. Been there, Done that.

If you want send me the file, and I'll rig him for you.

Or, just use a clean rig before you start again.

I feel I need to redeem myself

Instead of an l1a1 (fal) I've tried the L2a1

Looks different to most versions of it but I can provide reference shot if necessary.

and fancy that, I only just figured out what the boolean tool does.

I got them.

And here they are: respectful bodyguards in what I think the PM's office might look like.

If you don't mind, I'm going to do a few more and change the face textures, maybe some black/asian versions and of slightly different heights.

Sorry, I really can't resist another shot. Cosmic's addition of the shades looks so cool I've made a few changes to the specular to give them the illusion of a reflection.

Cosmic, I can't thank you enough for that U-Boat. It is quite literally the EXACT model I need for my BC2 Fan game. Many thanks, and I hope the pack is ready soon. But as always with you and the other forum members, quality over quantity.

I just about have everything finished up now. I'm just going to create some segments, and get things shader ready. Quick question: how do I make stairs with the segment editor? External causes the room to be deleted.

@Design Runner, try using an existing fpe (another staircase's)
then use lithunwrap or fragmotion to match your stairs to that of the other one. Then just replace the original stairs with your own.
