Just played the demo, really really good game !
For some reason, the atmosphere reminds of the good old Rayman2...
You really have a modelling talent!
The only thing i think you could do, is make the speed of the game independent of the framerate, because when i look at a wall, the speed nearly doubles .

But still one of my favourites !
Btw with which program did you design the 2d-stuff (logo, souls, etc.)?

Woah! Just got myself caught up on all 13 pages. This looks like one of the best DBC games by far. Can't wait for the next demo.

More comments, yay!

@Valle:
Quote: "For some reason, the atmosphere reminds of the good old Rayman2..."

Well, rayman was one of the games that inspired me...

Quote: "The only thing i think you could do, is make the speed of the game independent of the framerate, because when i look at a wall, the speed nearly doubles."

I know, it´s just a bit late to include that now. But i´ll use it in my next game. Whatever that will be...
If the game runs slow for you, then you can try to lower the res in the options-program, it may work.

Quote: "Btw with which program did you design the 2d-stuff (logo, souls, etc.)?"

The logo and the souls are made with an ordinary pencil, scanned and inverted. The other stuff are made mostly in photoshop.

@Bahamut:
I´ll probably release a new demo when level 2 is done.

@Peter_:
Beatifugly?

Edit: There´s a new screenie at the sh website.

Yeah, kind of blocky. I you smooth the back a bit, it would look much better. Very nice now, just not up to scratch with everything else in the game. Calling it a warewolf would be fine, but having an orginal name for it would really help emerse the person into the game, as it makes it your own, and not from somewhere else.

Werehound?
Malwolf?
Verdog?
etc..?

Whatever you name it is your choice, just thought I should give some sugestions.

Wow...just wow.

Usually after watching a video of that length, I have pragraph after paragraph of crit. Not today, though. That looks amazingly good.

The only small point that I could think of is jumping animation looks a bit odd. Have you considered a somersault or something? I know it's cliched and there's nothing much wrong with it as it is, but something just seemed a bit off. I'm really pedantic though. It's not a big deal.

Looks awesome. Keep up the good work.

That video looked awsome! I loved the music and monsters, can't wait for the level 2 demo to be out. I do agree with Bahamut about the jump, it seems a little out of place compared to all the other cool action animations you have done

But this is still one of the best projects I have ever seen using Dark Basic (CLASSIC!!).

[EDIT]Oh, and I'm not sure if this is possible, but maybe when the items menu is up, fade out the rest of the screen a bit to put more focus on the item selector - just a thought.[/EDIT]

[2nd EDIT]And I checked out your store, http://www.cafepress.com/sh_game. Those T-shirts looks great![/EDIT]

Nice work zzz.

That's a texture lol.

A very nifty trick, but not a teribly difficult one. Very good for tons of effects when you don't want to slow everything down with shaders. That effect should only reqire four extra pollygons comming out of each window.

WOW, That game is amazing, just downloading the demo now, man thee graphics are brilliant, and the animation, and the... well the whole thing, and all done in DBC, man I'm officially impressed.
EDIT hehe, sorry to sound a little like a little noob kid there^^, but the game does look great, and plays great really smooth although, a little fraustrating trying to jump all those platforms and falling off.

Are you going to sell it or release for free? Not that I wont buy it though.
Well done!

New screenie and some small site updates.

I´ve been experimenting with some functions on bravenet (thanks to UFO´s site). And I´m trying to
make a newsletter service. If you´re interested in trying it out then click the "newsletter"-link at
http://everlord.inc.se or http://soulhunter.info.se.
You may get an ugly newsletter with some test-html. If you do, just ignore it.

[Edit] Here´s another experiment of my. A toolbar with a rss-reader and other fun stuff: http://everlord.ourtoolbar.com/

I´ve also started a thread at GameDev.Net, although no one seems to be interested.
It seems to be many professionals there...
http://www.gamedev.net/community/forums/topic.asp?topic_id=399198

And here´s a new screenie with a hot Soulhunter.
