For DBC that is amazing! It is almost there but the collision isn't quite right. Still though, wow!

very nice! The only prob i can see is when you go through one side of the cloth then the other side won't move at all. Excellent work though!

I'd stay in dbc... that's what makes it so impressive... and converting can be very painful. I would wait until your next game to switch.

Great effect. It doesn't seem to be perfect yet, but still very impressive, even if it isn't very advanced.

Yeah, converting to DBP from DBC is a lot harder than a lot of people realize. I remember when I first upgraded I was having a lot of trouble upgrading. Luckily everything I had was just a few pointless programs I had made to learn about the language. However, in this case, you'll probably just generate more headaches than impressive results.

I'm new to this thread and I didn't feel like reading through all the previous 19 pages, so please forgive me if my questions have allready been answered in the past.

First of all: nice vid, this game over black-thingy somehow reminds me of zelda: twilight princess
Is this game supposed to be free and when will it be released?
Nice stuff so far.

Yes, soulhunter will be free when it´s done.
Today I added an animation for swinging the sword while walking.
The development speed of soulhunter is quite slow, I´m sorry for that.
I hope I´ll get more done in the easter holiday.

Wow, your models are awesome, I especially like the color schemes. What is that grey/white thingy, though (last screenie). Keep it up, good things take a long time to come.

the grey/white thing seems to be a swishy thing that comes off of the sword like in so many other games, but it doesn't seem transparent yet

I played one of the earlier demos, and the engine is impressive . like kind of impressive.

then again it's the only engine of a real game i've played, never downloaded anyone else's demos

i wish i was un-lazy enough to make swishy things with memblocks

wonderful wonderful wonderful! Bring out the potential of dbc. I can't wait for this game to reach its final stage. Great job, you'll go far.

Your models and animation are the smoothest i've seen for classic, its awe inspiring. Keep up the good work mate. You've got my support.

Yeah, SH is really amazing. I can't wait for the new demo, 'cause I really want to play through it, and also make whatever suggestions I can to make it even better. After all, what is a wip forum for but feedback?

Great Junkrock!
Unfortunately I have to tell you that my last harddrive is starting to sound strange (woodpecker strange), I have made backups of soulhunter and ordered 2 new drives. So if you don´t hear from me in a while you´ll know why...

My harddrives are cursed.

I´m working with lots of non-graphical stuff right now, bug-fixes & code polishing. But just because I´m such a nice guy I´ll post another picture of my blur effect. I hope that this effect will work on most computers because it´s quite cool.

Hi,

Can i ask you a question how did you do that grass as an object?

I was looking for how to do that a year back or so no one awnserd me back then.

So now i can ask the same question to someone who already did it .

What i want to know is like you have all the grass (one by one) an object or is it like 20 togheter an object.

I hope you know what i mean.

@Redostrike
I have like 100 grass objects, 2 plains each, which are randomly repositioned around soulhunter. The grass is positioned everywhere, but I have decided areas where it shall be visible.

Sorry for all that, I made it a snippet because it's not really on topic and I don't feel everyone needs to read it. I just had to post it.

I have also been following this game since day one (quite literally), and the reason I put it in a snippet was because I wanted to post it more than I wanted people to read it. Like I said, this has absolutely nothing to do with my game. And I'm not mad at you, just mad that people do it in general. It would be silly to be mad at any one person for something like that.

Please don't respond to this, it's not that important.

Well, I do agree with your opinion...

But I think people say these thinks just to express that they're impressed. That's why I don't really get mad at them
[edit] ohw sorry, I replied didn't I?

This is one of the best games I have seen made in any DarkBASIC language (Complying with what Bizar Guy said). I must ask, how much longer until you would say it is complete?

Cheers,

Its looking very well zzz, but perhaps you folks could explain without beating me to a pulp, what is a memblock's function for graphics, I thought it was just a sort of super-array.
