Sweet, just as good as your previous shots. Do you have any idea how much progress you have left?

I just played a demo of Dream, I had an early hands-on with the new EvoChron: Renegades.

That being said, I'm highly anticipating a demo or playable version of this last great Darkbasic Classic title in the making. You've got some high expectations to live up to, at least for me. The screenshots and video look good, now I just hope the game plays as good as it looks.

Holy crap! I followed that link to the next star wraith (universe) game, and I think I'm going to buy it. I'll have to play the demo of course, but daaaaamn. That is... wow.

And yes, I'm really looking forward to the next sh demo too. I seriously want a chance to see the new areas, and more so the gameplay changes. Gaahhh!! I cant stand the suspense!!!

I'm liking the expected number of levels as well.

Actually, it´s a waterfall. It´s a little hard to see in a screenshot, but it looks nice in-game.

I haven´t add a sound yet, I´ll do that tomorrow.
I have to add some water spray at the bottom of the waterfall too.

The looks of Soulhunter is great fun, but I have a question for you, zzz - and since I couldn't find contact details, I'll ask here.

I'm working with a team creating TGC Heroes, a Super Smash Brothers clone about TGC. Soulhunters main character was among our favorites to have in the game. Would you be okay with this, and could you email me if so/not? My email is found by hoovering the button e-mail below my post .

Demo of Soulhunter...

Thanks Aralox, will fix it.

Yeah, I guess we're all waiting for the demo of one of the bigger DBC releases in a long time. Dream, Evochron and Soulhunter are really making my DBC day these months.

Of course you could make soulhunter one of the playable characters, but you should know that his design may change and you have to make your own model, I won´t give away the one that I made. But you have my permission to make your own version of soulhunter, since your project looks very ambitious.

I haven´t gotten anything done since the last screenies, because I´ve been busy choosing components for the new pc I´m using right now. It´s a vista x64 pc, which is able to run soulhunter without any problems!
I just hope it´ll be able to compile too...

Wow, just found this thread (although I've heard about SH, vaguely, for a while) and I'm very impressed! The graphics (especially the effects such as water or fog) are, while not industry standard, certainly impressive from a DBC standpoint, and really add to the atmosphere, which is lovely and creepy and gothic.

I especially like the black and white mini-game bit. So arty!

3D game making is a combination of pc crashes, yelling and coffee.
I'm not actually a Kiwi, I just randomly thought it up one day.

I´ve now uploaded screenies of all the new combo moves.

The first thing that happens when you press the sword button:

Nothing new. It´s just the boring blue sword...

But click the button again, and:

Wham! Faster than lightning, soulhunter pulls out his shiny new sword.

Click again...

Swoosh, Both swords at the same time!

..and again...

...and again...

360 degrees!

...and finally!

It´s hard to get this far, soulhunter jumps forward while rotating both swords.

It shouldn´t be too long before a demo, I have to make the cutscene were you get the new sword first. You want to try the new sword, right?

Almost 4.
The fourth level will end after you´ve picked up the new sword and tried it out on some monsters.
And look forward to the boss at level 3.
