Hey Cash, i hadn't checked this out yet because for some reason i thought it was a RPG engine... (which i am not interested in)

anyway, looked back at some of the screens and have to say i'm impressed! anybody who says otherwise is just jealous.

good luck with it.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...this looks amazing, probably one of the best, if not the best WIP currently on here . Great job, and I can't wait for a demo .

@Diggsey -
Thanks!

@Peter H -
Well, it really started out as an engine, but since has really taken on a life of its on. I never intended for this to be a commercial release, but here we are

@draknir_ , Gil Galvanti,
Thanks for the support guys, I'm working on getting a demo out very soon.

@Bizar Guy -
Yeah, here you go It's a bit rough, I did it on some scratch paper, and the scanner+colored pencils really tore it up. But, it's very accurate.

Still looking great. Hey, I'm getting into trying to make my own landscapes. Yours look really nice, what did you make them in? Are they terrain or .X files?

Not at all. I've been busy with a couple of other paid projects, the Dark Physics compo, and soon the Nvidia compo. I hate to post anything when there's nothing new to show.

Major news, I've completely overhauled combat (Megaton didn't like it, and I saw it with new eyes afterward), I completely overhauled the plant management system (mine before was fast, but took a TON of memory and would fail to load on systems without enough), and now I'm using Dark Physics now that the license changed. Framerates are good so far.

Also, I'll be paying for some custom media. I've got to finish my other projects first before I can afford it. I had plenty of offers for models, and Chenak finished the healer girl for me, but my other free modelers don't ever seem to do any work. I don't care, I'll pay $400 each, I just have to do it in two months.

My bad guys, I haven't been checking up on this thread properly, since I haven't been posting in it.

Work on the engine does continue, and I'm still working to get the money for the final game models.

@Jerok -
I really appreciate the offer. Your model has a very nice stylized look. That specific look doesn't fit in with the rest of the models in Geisha House. If you could match that style, I'd love to have your help with an NPC or two.

I dont know exactly what the style is but if you can find a googled image that looks like what you need I'm sure I can figure it out. In the meantime here is a shot of my next model that I've just begun if its closer to the style you need.

The style that Geisha House uses is a realistic style. Doing this not only looks good, but allows me to use models from different artists. As such, I cannot use models that don't fit in with the rest.

I had figured that it was supposed to look realistic but as of yet none of my models are textured. The first is only vertex shaded and the other doesnt have any texture at all. I had hoped to get someone to help with the texturing for because I haven't been able to texture a human yet and it would take much longer for me to do so.

I see that you are getting close to your deadline now so I dont know how much I will be able to help but I am still willing to help if needed.

hey cash. This projects looking as sweet as ever. But do tell me, where do you get your tree models from, assuming you dont make them yourself?
If my questions already been answered, then I apologise.

I made the meshes with Treemajik G3, but I hate their textures. I hand painted all of the leaves on myself in Paint Shop Pro, and it looks amazing compared to the originals.

@Jerok -
Your models are definitely good, I just can't compromise on the style. Perhaps this could be your first time to make a model like this? It's up to you.

I was never expecting you to compromise on the style of the game. I was just waiting for you to post a concept art/googled image of what you wanted me to make. I does not matter to me if I make a model or not. I was hoping to split the job with a good texturer. Then I could make a model every 3-7 days and save you $400 a model, but now, even if I could find a texturer, I wouldn't be able to do much before your deadline.
