Looks cool, mate. Although the tiles seem like stone in last pic, haha. 50 70 FPS? That is nice with those required specs. Nice!
Tho i dont use fpsc, i think this is wonderfull for making a game based around graphics. Great work!

I improve the mod from DG too and i dont need things like ToD, Water, Lightscattering, Sky and Cloud. So i deleted all things i dont need but if i want to start a testgame, i becam an error that the universe object (Objectnumber 7584) already exists.

I think, the error occurs here

and here comes the error message (label cranox_load_universe):

i dont know if this is the only error so i hope someone can help me

The 7584 error is because you removed the effects of tod system, I believe that to work you must remove the following lines of code

Played the demo.

The FPS was... for lack of nicer word, horrific.

Also, the Depth of field (or whatever makes it so that things that are farther away blurred) could be improved.

But, on the good side:

Super realistic lights. Very good.

You just need to polish some rough edges, but overall very cool.

You remember? is NOT the quality of the final product.

The tod system and others, Dropped the performance, is Normal!

Now I not working on depth of field.

The level is no giant. I create only level for you can see the effects in scene

I know.

Just giving some feedback for the final product.

Those are my 2 beefs, I could not find any other problems.

They are large, but once those are done, I have no complaints.

Good luck.

Just played the demo, MUCH better FPS than Corvus Mod, and the DoF visually looked nicer, (much smoother) BUT, I'm still experiencing the problem where EVERYTHING is blurred, unless I get close to it.

Sorry for asking but, did i missed something?
When i tried the demo it just uses the regular FPSC.
I couldnt use the flashlight nor see the dynamic shadows.
Actually i couldnt see anything different than the normal FPSC.
The normal maps/parallax map were not working.

Do i have to press something to make it work? Or use one of the other executables?
(which by the also dont work)

There are three .exe's so you can see the difference between them. How the level looks like in 1.15, in Corvus and in the new Xara Mod. So yes, you have to click another .exe (the "Xara Mod Non Final" one)

If you use the regular fps NOT working Any postprocessing effects or parallax mapping, for the all effects try using the Xara Mod Non Final

I keep getting the "Runtime Error 1507 - Display using 32 bits is not supported by available hardware at line 2339.", on both Mods. I can run the regular FPSC game fine.

Maybe you need a computer with 64 bits...

In which case, Kill3r7 just made FPSC X10.

guys...

this Mod has nothing to do with x10 or 64Bits.
Its based on my Mod (CorVus Mod) which simply uses Evolved Advanced Lighting, which is rendered through the x9 pipeline.

Maybe Kill3r7 has called a resolution in the code and has disabled that you are able to set it in the setup.ini .

Don`t know but in original Corvus you could easily change the res and that is exactly the problem you are having Keith!

So its something with his code.

I also got the problem, that I was not able to use Xara Mod in any other Demolevel i built for Corvus Mod, dont ask me why.
Also I needed to delete a Image in the Xara Mod Demolevel to get it to work (Could not load image... .bmp!).

Kill3r7 needs to fix a lot of things and I dont think that his estimated release date is a real one.
There are so much more bugs I found while testing this Mod, so fix all this things.

I dont know why you want the Mod to load all additional textures like normal and height maps as .bmp images, I used .dds which are a lot smaller in size and also needed to write an array which searched for already existend images!
If using .bmp files in bigger maps (which your Demolevel isnt!), the game would crash because the RAM is full with data!

You really need to think about a lot of things!
Also I can not understand why you activated the Depth of Field effect from stock, because it is not working at all!
It blurs (like in Corvus Mod) the whole screen and only sometimes gets a real focus.

Sorry for this big comment, but please try to fix all these things.
Also you should try to get it to work in normal Corvus Mod Levels because they should use the same data to work.
It crashed for me, when trying the Metro Theater Showcase level, I built for Corvus.

One good thing, the Lighting is fixed now, so you dont the the directional light through the ceiling and the performance is much better! If you get these things done (maybe ask me in MSN, I can help you if you want and I have the time ^^ ) and I will try it again.
But for now, I dont really know how to use it and I have written the code on which this one is based!

Yours,
DG

I have the same problem Keith is getting.
So but Dark Goblin, you are saying that we need to check the setup file?
To try to resize the resolution.
I'll do this as soon as i get home.

Also, would it be possible (Kill3r7 or Dark Goblin) to make the ambient a bit darker.
Cause the normal maps, parralax maps look great. But they will look superb if the ambience is set darker. So people really can see the highlights and shadows.
And that way people can make superb looking horror games.

Oh yeah almost forgot, in the corvus mod(or Xara mod). The T.o.D can i change them ingame?
Like waterheights, but now for the T.o.D?

And Kill3r7 are you planning on adding more features to the mod?
Like some scripting possibilities so that we could change the T.o.D as soon as we get in a event.
Or a day and night cycle? Or maybe try and combine a mod with this one?

Day and Night Cycle was available in CorVus Mod, dont know if Kill3r7 has removed it!

And I havent said, you should look into setup.ini .
In Corvus Mod you were able to change the resolution in it, but I think you arent in Xara.
Changing the Ambient via a script should be easy to add, but thats all to Kill3r7 ^^
I will not work a lot on CorVus Mod.
If someone needs help with something, just ask me!
Its still my Mod on which this is based xD

Well... Sorry for no response.

The tod system Removed in the Xara Mod "NON FINAL VERSION" is not really necessary in the Demo Level.
The Directional light Too.
I change some Commands in the mod for more performance.
Now I try to Compile the source code with 1.16 version and WithOut bugs and problems, Left Click, etc. But I have a problem.

Dark Goblin I need you help, Talk you in msn

Ive just tried out the demo level and keep getting a error about the 32-bit hardware is not supported, or something like that.

You may want to include a default resolution code because I've had this error with my mod B4

thx, will try it

EDIT :

I see the problem, youv'e got the reso set to a reso that my monitor cant handle since my monitor is only a 17 inch so the highest it can go is 1280x1024

EDIT 2 :

LOAD IMAGE No_texture.jpg,99997 error

Looks like you gave a file a wrong name in the code

But once you fix all the bugs, this is going to be really cool.
