Not to my knowledge it doesn't. The TGC Store is handled by the Editor application, not the game engine (which is the part that the mod replaces)

Same here, no problems with the store...other than my internet disappearing though...

Made an account on the new forum, Ply. It's shiny over there...

And due to lack of traffic, I haven't needed to mod at all, although I edited one of Ply's posts for fun, and to test my features

I don't know, have you checked your user details to see if you have your serial code in there? I have never had this issue with a mod.

Another issue with it I can't fix is that the mod only gives me the entities as if it were a free trial version.

@PMCDude:

Can you elaborate on that? I'm not understanding what you mean by "only gives me the entities as if it were a free trial version".

I haven't used the trial version so I don't know much about how it acts.

It only gives me few entities and segments from wwii and scifi. For example: I only have about 6 characters and some iteams from scifi. This is how the free trial version works, you only have access to a few entities and segments.

Interesting... what version of FPSC are you using with the Mod?

If you're using V1.09, you may want to try V1.07 or V1.08. I don't think those ran off the "trial" software that Lee implemented.

Beautiful work Ply, my only issue is the horrible lightmapping. Every piece of lighting is dull and really un-appealing.

Other than that, everything works perfect, great work.

Thanks, Pride, but can you elaborate on:
Quote: "dull and really un-appealing"
?

Not sure what you're meaning there.

Also, I haven't touched the light system in FPSC, so as far as everyone should be concerned... it's V1.07 lighting.
Any lighting bugs are a result of the original source that Lee gave to us. As a result, there's really nothing I want to do about it until the next source release.

is it a source issue or a .dll issue? I read it had to do w/ the differance between Lee's darklights and the communities

What I mean is that dynamic objects react properly to static lighting, but there is no lighting on the segments, static entites, etc. Almost like a poor dynamic light.

@meteorite:

It must be a .DLL issue. I mean, with all the discrepencies we had just getting the damn source to compile due to conflicting DLL's, it's gotta be.

@Pride:

Not sure what to tell you about that. They've worked for me just fine. Are you referring to static lights or dynamic lights? Or is it happening with both?

Happens to both, but somehow I got static lights working fine again. but I cannot change the ambiance...

Yeh, ambience is an issue with Lee's source...

Shame, I've never had the static lights fail onme though...

@Pride:

Yeah, ambience in Mods only seems to work on segments and entities that have a shader applied to them. You can see this by using some of the stock scifi segments and turning full shaders on.

@Dude232:

You'll need to completely uninstall FPSC from your computer. Uninstall it using the disk, and if need be, uninstall it through the Windows control panel.

After it's completely gone, delete any remaining files that may still be there. Then reinstall off the disk and directly upgrade to V1.07. Once the upgrade is complete, install the Mod and it should work fine.

Sometimes uninstallers leave files or folders behind. Just a precaution.

Hi all

I was trying out the Humvee Script, but I have a problem. I start out and drive forward, but the mouse is controlling the cam and the steering, neither the A or D keys work.
The other problem which is kinda funny, is I watch the Humvee has it drives away, the cam view is back where we started, but if I press the G key I still get out where the Humvee is.
Just wondering if this is normal or am I do something wrong....

Thanx

Taking a peek at the ReadMe file might shed some light there.

Basically, it adds a lot to FPSC. More than I'd care to iterate here, so look in the ReadMe and find out just how much.

Just rename your FPS Creator folder that has all of the media. Now Install FPSC again, creating a second copy of FPSC on your computer and use that one for the Mod. Now you have all of your media still in the other folder.

Timer system?

If you mean a timer system like in AirMod v0.5, then Ply's Mod does not have that.

Crusader2 the timer system he's talking about is a timer system hardcoded into the engine to control animations and entities instead of depending on framerate.

I thought that merging with AirMod meant a timer system as well, though changing the syncrate to 100 sped up everything dramatically. Oops.

No, the timer system was taken out of airmod in V0.6, and that is the version that Ply's Mod has merged into it. It's also the latest version of AirMod.

Dang...I'd love for higher framerates, but the highest I've gotten thus far is 80. You've got a great mod here, though. Just started experimenting with it today.

Why do you need higher framerates? The cap it's been defaulted to is the speed at which everything runs smoothly. Any faster/slower than that and animations and sounds get out of sync.
